In case anyone else was confused about how to highlight text in the console, click on the far left icon in the titlebar->edit->mark. I tried it on .6t1 and it worked.

Yeah, and technically 0.6test1 isn't an "official release" either. The current release is 0.5. Use anything higher than that at your own risk, as it's only for testing purposes.

Also, when using mesh emitters the sky gets darker and darker, it would be nice to have indipendent settings (outside time and inside lights power). They are independant. It is a little ambiguous, though. Radiance plans to include more info on this in the tutorial. See this post: http://www.indigor...

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do to get the job done. I think improv is a good trait. :D

That takes me back. I haven't even seen one in at least a year.

We call it a beer bong, here in the states. I've never seen that kind of tube before. Our's usually look like this:

i'm only "end-user", so i'm not so fit in editing xml. Actually, you'll find yourself waist-deep in the xml often. It's not so bad and a little addicting. Once you start to see how it works and what tags do what (radiance's tutorial is an awesome reference), you'll settle right in. It's not as hard...

What is your scale tag set to? Sometimes that needs to be cranked up as high a 1,000,000. Take a look at this thread: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=240 Radiance's tutorial is a work in progress. He's going to include a section on tonemapping at a later time. Welcome to indigo!

Great tutorial. I'll keep it in my bookmarks for reference. One suggestion. Take a look at the "[SOLVED]mesh emitters disable sunlight?" post under "Blender". I can see this confusion recurring in the future. It might be worthwhile to talk about reinhard's behaviour when one light is way brighter th...

Here's what Nick had to say on another post: mzungu's question: So is Indigo designed so that the <blackbody> spectrum type sort of "saps" the environment of competing lightsources? (for lack of a better way of saying it...) It was a very interesting effect, when I cranked the <gain> on it: all the ...

Why don't you try to render your own granite ?
I'm trying to. I'm workin' on converting material settings for indigo. It's also a kitchen scene, but won't be modelled anywhere near a good as your's.

How'd you come up with a frosted glass texture? I like it.

The latest release date for the new cinepaint was supposed to be august 28th. I can't seem to find any newer information. Anyone have their ear to the ground?

Awesome render. I'm totally biased because of my line of work, but I'd rather see granite counters than butcher-block. Here's a tile of some venetian gold I scanned here at the shop. Try it out. http://www.maj.com/gallery/boweeb/Fireplaces/vgold.png You can also build some tiles from images at grani...
