Good point Kachu. I'll take a closer look at quality over time rather than total mutations over time.

Has anyone else experienced this? .6t1 out-of-the-box (freshly decompressed from original zip, running the ior_test scene) is almost exactly twice as fast as test 5 out-of-the-box. Am I missing something?

See this post for more information: http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1738&highlight=#1738 So the short answer, like lego said, is that they do work. You just have to crank the emmiter WAY up (possibly in the millions). There's been a lot of confusion about this before, so don't fe...

Hi, lego

I'd double-check your normals. Also, do a forum search for black materials. There are a few common mistakes people make that are answered.

Awesome app, thanks daros! Isn't remote matador based on maxwell? Did you guys write this for comparison purposes? Your ixl file is interesting. Thanks also for not encoding it, so we can look inside. Do you have any example files? I'm having some trouble getting a test render to work. It keeps clos...

This render is coming along, great! Good job.

My two cents: what about an area rug in front of the tv? There will still be plenty of wood floor to show off and a rug would be more realistic (in my own experience).

Are any of your white phong materials set to rgb 1,1,1? If so, try turning it down to 0.9,0.9,0.9.

Awesome render! excellent but why u try indigo 0.5?there a lot of noise,0.6 is faster i think and more acuarate Probably because that's the latest official stable release. I'd have to agree with radiance in his tutorial to stick with .5, if you don't know what you're doing, because the broken featur...

Also it depends on the angle (height) of the sun. A lower sun will be more of a burnt orange because it's coming from the horizon. Notice this image; you can clearly see the gradient.:

Looks awesome. If you haven't rendered anything since then, the log.txt in indigo's root should contain your log and shows everything you see in the console (assuming that logging is enabled in your inifile.txt).

Maybe something conceptual like:

1. Using full spectrum of colors
2. Show as many features in one object as you can
3. Looking out a window
4. Water-world
etc.

I'd like something like this because it would focus more on taking advantage of indigo's capabilities than just our modelling skills.

Well, that's true, too. But it also has to do with sky gain (turning it way up). I would've posted a little more text with the link, but it's such a common and confusing issue, for those new to indigo, that sometimes I'll just post the relevant link. Radiance is going to include a new tonemapping se...

Here's a few: http://gl.ict.usc.edu/Data/HighResProbes/ Yeah, they're not as easy to find. Don't know for sure why there's no hdr support as of yet. Nick, probably just hasn't gotten around to it yet - his hands are pretty full right now recoding bidir and fixing broken features for the 0.6 release....

Nope - just exr.

Google for hdr2exr.exe - free converter that works pretty well.

(Thank psor for info).
