Sorry, but I'm getting confused. So I'll add to this a final version of the reduced approach. Dougal, I'll look into SVN for the next steps, and again, great work. - - - - - - - What I added/changed: Added some quick-access Icons of tools I found I was using a lot. Fixed some things that were...

1. Concerning the more simple version: There may be some bugs in the code, and I'll post one final update soon. IMHO, we should stick use the "simple" version as a baseline and then add one feature at a time, make it nicer, ... . Using a Maya Node to store the MTI-Values is easy to access, is saved ...

Dougal2, I like the approach very much. Documentation is great and legible.

I didn't check in detail, but it is this based on the simplified scripts?

To my mind, they where way simpler and used less mel-procedures.

MayaToIndigo 0.1N

Hi there, here is the simplified Version of Maya to Indigo that should be both simple to understand and maintain for all of us Users: In general, I removed everything special and tried to stick with a basic concept: - create a Maya-Script Node called mti_settings and store all relevant settings ther...

Next Steps...

:?: what are the next steps concerning the exporter ? I could clean up the whole script and post it so that we would be starting from scratch, with a nice preference node to store all indigo-related attributes. I like Indigo a lot, I like Maya a lot. I think its a nice platform to be working with in...

I'd give the Maya-Exporter (maya to Indigo) a try:

If you want, you can setup your scene in blender and finally just swap the camera-parameters blender exports with those the maya-to-indigo-exporter generates (toggle "skip exporting objects" or whatever it's called)
with a text editor.

Maya 8.5 // Indigo 9 Test 6

I have updated the converter to , well, work, at last for my purposes: The exporter is working with the Maya-Obj Exporter Plugin´, and nicely. Make sure its turned on in the Plugin-Manager. There are many areas to improve, as always. For Installation, Copy it into a fitting directory or edit your Ma...

Benedikt Kircher is to credit too, she did quite some work. zefixzeluja, last time i checked there was still a he. :? Great that there is some live in this forum. Anyway, I would have to check if the last code on this site is the same I use, but I'm quite confident that it works: In fact, I'...

:?: Why's that? Texture Projection is independend of uv-mapping and automatically applies the same scele of texture to all objects shaded by the corresponding shader. so: My guess as to Ono's reply: That's such a great idea, omg how could I have missed it, (faciliating interoperability with differen...

Texture-Maps: Projection and Triplanar

Hi there,
I wonder if it's difficult to implement texture mapping via projection, with a scale factor (and possibly an offset).
That would simplify applying Structures (Wood, concrete, etc.) greatly.

8) It seems you're trying to implement something I'm theoretically speculating about... btw., in batch files you can use "%1". Drop a file onto a .bat, and it will substitute %1 with the filename. Basics I know, but if you want to start 10 files one after the other, use <halttime> and write your lin...

bkircher: That still makes indigo biased: at what point do you "turn off" the interpolated data and use the real stuff? until then, it's biased. Plus, that just takes time away from the render threads. Useless, IMO. Indigo is fine as it is - . You're right as far as different sampling strat...
