Re: Simple Renderings Thread

One hell of a modeling exercise, as well as the first time I've ever used Blender's cloth simulation tools. The plain room/cutout windows are only placeholders - I plan on doing a complete scene with this, don't worry  . Click the image for the huge version. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/333...

Re: Architectural Visualization Study - The Farnsworth House

I added more and bigger trees on the scene. I also tried adding a large tree I modeled in sketchup but it did not work.

Nice test render! I guess it took some time to render it because there is no noise on the image.

Re: Architectural Visualization Study - The Farnsworth House

Hi Pibuz! Thanks a lot for the warm words. Very inspiring! I hope sketchup would have those tools you mentioned someday and we no longer have to struggle making all those organic shapes. I am currently attempting to model some vegetation that resemble the ones on the reference images of the Farnswor...

Re: Architectural Visualization Study - The Fansworth House

Wonderful! Could you tell us something about your grass; are they instances? And which material did you use for it? Thank you very much, very inspiring work! Thanks a lot zeitmeister! The grass are instances. A flat Circle is used as a 'dummy' (proxy) for the grass patch while working. For the gras...

How much on time occupies the visualization.
Most of the renders are at 4000 samples/pixel and render times average from 8 hrs. to 15 hrs.on an intel core2quad 2.3 Ghz.

Thanks a lot CoolColJ! For the vignetting, I still do not know how to control it .
Setting a smaller camera aperature value does seem to help reduce the effect. It's not too bad at f5.6 compared to f16
Thanks a lot for the info CoolColJ!

Re: Architectural Visualization Study - The Fansworth House

6c and 5g look great! I would work on the grass and leaf materials now: add some low, rough specularity and possibly some translucency, it's too diffuse and unnatural right now. Thanks a lot Tom! I'm working on that now. The grass and leaves materials have some translucency but it's not yet enough ...

Re: Architectural Visualization Study - The Fansworth House

Some of the test renders here were done more than a week ago. At first, I was not planning to do a WIP thread and only thought about it lately.

Some more initial renderings.

Architectural Visualization Study - The Farnsworth House

I would like to start a WIP on how to make very nice architectural visualizations. There are a couple of works I had seen here and on other forums that are very hard to distinguish from actual photos. This is the goal I would like to accomplish. For the architectural model, I chose the Farnsworth ho...

Re: Sofa scene

These renderings are really great! Only comment would be the background image on the window. It is higher than what it should be.
