Good question ! Last night I quasi-turned crazy because my object (cornell box) was eaten at 95% by a spherical, reflective object. That wasn't defined in the scene :evil: After a while it turned out like so: my camera was outside the skylight , and the scene roughly the same size as it ! So there m...

Now if you look closer, you can see he is happier because you looked at him. Tripentamorphs love to be admired ^^ http://www.worldparallelftp.com/adam/projects/indigo/im1165581652.png The diffraction is quite slight, that's because when a render starts using Cauchy coefficient one can hardly say wha...

Degrees of freedom, sounds good !

Man, I've started a new render, and this one use Cauchy... I'd better sleep a bit :)

Tripentamorph

http://www.worldparallelftp.com/adam/projects/indigo/Copie-de-im1165565249.jpg It's a Tripentamorph catched in his living box close sunset... In fact a subject for comparison with mental ray, but that's another story... Modeled with TopMod. Done. The sidenote is that I forget to enable untonemapped...

Looks great ! the header of Indigo's scenes has to be mofified thought:

Code: Select all

<?xml version='1.0' standalone="no"?>
Like that it can read them:

Image

That's nice and clean !

Without knowing details about Indigo, a guess would be a resume file made up of the current framebuffer contents and the random seed used to generate it so far. Then, (like a server already does) simply start render from a new seed and apply the results. That easy ? Or you could just run indigo in ...

Althought I'm against pressure lobbys :D I would have to apply to that feature, well that would be cool but maybe there is more prioritary stuff to implement; no special idea tho... Also I'm begging myself if that would not imply to write all previous iterations on disk, or would the current state o...

Hi ! I think that one could use LightGen's plugin for HDRShop to define a directional light. Then the rotation has to be translated into a vector, that's a very few maths wich I don't know, sorry... or try to hack into some of the output files format generated, who knows ? So it's about importance s...

Sorry for the short answer, but check if you light your scene with something. Without any light, Indigo just crashes ... I'm in a hurry. :P :D ;) Yep, I spent half an hour yesterday to find that I was bugged, not Indigo :wink: I was ready to sent a DrWatson report and everything :lol: But ok, sorry...

Oh, I would like to participate on this one ! I think Maluminas points are relevant: -must have a curved surface -must have a flat surface -must have a sharp edge -must have thin parts and thick parts (for SSS, double sides and absorption) -must have a part where you can see a reflection of the mate...

Test 2. Er, test 1,5 !

It has more contrast, in test 1 the objects seem to be floating a bit. Test 2 is more eye candy to me, the floor shows more reflections but it get burned where the sun hits. A blend between those may be an excellent choice.

Very nice pics by the way :)
