I'm not sure if it's possible either. It might be a little tricky.
However there's something that would probably be even more useful, which is to cache the built tree on disk. That way, as long as you don't alter the mesh, it can just load it off disk, which should take a few seconds max.

Well, when you set it to one thread, that means one thread that runs the MLT process, and another thread that does the tonemapping, gamma correction and display of the image buffer, which does take significant computation.
So it's really two threads.

Indigo 0.6 test 1

hey all, new release time. I wanted to get the Multithreaded stuff out the door... because... well, it's just so cool (IMHO :)) http://www.indigorenderer.com/montecarlo/indigo_06_test1.zip This is a stand-alone release, it includes all necessary files. As usual, I may have broken some stuff, so keep...

Request for studio setup model

Hey All, Would anyone be interested in modelling a studio setup and making it freely available? You know.. something with a white floor, that curves into a back plane, and with 2 or 3 large panel emitters. I'll host it if someone can model it. In indigo xml format pls, and perhaps .blend as well. I ...

Very nice...
look forward to the final version(s)

some crits:
The edges on the sofas are a little harsh,
also I think the blue cabinets would look better as a phong material.

heh.. the saga continues..
black edges around objects caused by smoothed normals should be fixed next release, at least for diffuse mats. Phong is a bit trickier tho :P
