floating in space

well it doesn't even seem an indigo render :D I wanted to model all the gundam, but I wasn't satisfied with some parts and I got bored... so I decided to destroy it  spent more time with sculpt mode and gimp than modeling it. 2000muts/pixel, seems they aren't enough with a light so dim http...

isn't it enough to multiply maya vectors by a rotational matrix?

R = 1 0 0
0 0 1
0 1 0

I don't get the distance requirements...
In blender everything is relative, so how do I know if they are under or above 0.2mm?
Is that an absolute value, or are you saying that there should be 0.2mm distance in relation to a glass of 10cm (for example) :?

I installed hamachi for linux, but it's console only... no chat, no shared folders... it may be a little difficult to use it :( Well, I don't know about text messages, but it's a piece of cake to setup a samba share as a "shared folder" to use with hamachi. I use ssh to tunnel Indigo from the distr...

hi Lego, This was done to simulate blender materials... but you are right that this could finaly more confuse than help  When you keep spec-slider at 1.0 and you set the color-exponent-slider in the exporter to 1.0 too... you get direct conversion of specular-color and indigo specular values ...

SpecularGain.val is not used currently and is constantly set to 1.0 so specularity is defined as following: Red = colGamma(mat.specR*specfac) Green = colGamma(mat.specG*specfac) Blue = colGamma(mat.specB*specfac) Are you sure? I modified the script leaving colGamma(mat.specR)*SpecularGain.va...

is it normal for the specular value to be calculated like this?

colGamma(mat.specB*specfac)*SpecularGain.val

this way you can get specular values higher than 1 (4 with spec slider to 2, spec color to 1)!!

wouldn't it be better to have a direct mapping blender spec color --> indigo spec value??

in the exporter the specularity is set as this

colGamma(mat.specB*specfac)*SpecularGain.val

for each color

I think specfac is the specular slider
I don't know what speculargain.val is...

I'll try to use just

colGamma(mat.specB)

And what is specularity in the blender exporter? I have a funny feeling it's fresnel_fraction, in which case, it shouldn't go above 1 :) mmm that's strange! I always thought that indigo specularity was taken from blender specular color! but I did a test and I saw that it takes in consideration the ...

I think that the idea of a single "other languages" section is the best for now... The thread starter should put a language tag at the start of the subject, like [ITA] bla bla bla If you see that, after some time, some languages are much more used than others, you can create the appropriate section :)
