the script is almost done, handles slave resume and max muts/pixel halt well :)

the only problem is that I need a better way to stop indigo than kill... :(

I've ported the script to python
I'm planning to add a 'stop at x mutations function' and a very simple animations handling :)
Anyone has a better idea than kill to stop indigo? :)

since your scene worked correctly , I decided to recheck my glasses another time, and I found some very very small edges lying around -_-
now it seems to be ok :)

I'm using blender, and my glasses are made from flattened cubes too :/
I'd like to take a look at your blend scene :)

For now I "solved" removing the glasses... this way the render is faster too :P

the render doesn't stop if the network process is alive.
this script just relaunches the slave process if it crashes.

linux indigo resumer! (lol, it's not what you're thinking)

today Indigo crashed two times, so I decided to create a little script to solve the matter! Since the one crashing is always the process that does the rendering, I created a script that launches a network master and a slave. Then it checks periodically for the slave, and launches it again if it's cl...

noise and dimension

Maybe someone of you have already experimented this:

is it better to render an image at resolution x y, or at 2x 2y and then resize?
which solution gives less noise in the same time?

I'm making a room too

since this is the forum thread, I decided to model my room  I encountered a little problem: I've just modeled the room shape and the windows this is a render with the windows without the glass http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/5296/window1tq3.th.jpg same scene, but with glass http://img146.image...

lol :)

semi-ot:
I'm actually thinking about building a VERY cheap render farm...
which processor do you think is the best in the power/cheapness ratio? :D

the numbers represent the versors of the system
x y z
1 0 0
0 1 0
0 0 1

a rotation of -90° around x should be

1 0 0 0 0 1 0 -1 0

or

1 0 0 0 0 -1 0 1 0

it depens on how the string is handled

p.s. I can't install maya with wine :(

your problem should be solved by applying the rotation matrix both to the postion and the orientation vector of the camera :?

Yes, on objects.. :) But to rotate the camera it need to somehow reset the pivot pint and then translate, It is really hard  mm maybe if you explain better the problem I may be able to help you... I just had a robotics exam full with this kind of stuff :P is the problem due to the fact that t...
