new tries, textures were "borrowed" from maxwell's materials website.

@zsouthboy : You're right, I tried to displace the base too, and it didn't work. Is it a bug ?
@Alex : excellent !
@BbB : I guess high memory usage is the price to pay. I will try a large scale test tomorrow.

The base is not displaced because it's not subdivided. I keep it this way to save some memory, waiting for the x64 release (wich is really needed when using subdivision+displacement). @zsouthboy : Have you placed the subdivision tags to both the sphere and the base meshes ? ("preview_sphere" and "pr...

Hey BbB, I have the same issue. It used to work fine with blender 2.45, so I guess it's related to 2.46 and it's new uv-display mode.
The only way I found was to remake the uv-projection from scratch (wich is a simple sphere-projection in that case).

Hey Zomb, I guess that's my fault. I used reinhard tonemapping for the preview scene, where I should have used linear or camera tonemapping in order to have a constant lighting between renders. Btw, Dougal2 pointed the problem to me, as he managed to render al the nk materials already. Anyway, I mus...

* warning : blender oriented * Warm thanks to fused (also Dougal2 and others I forget for their previous attempts), it was really needed. Anyway I'm a little confused in creating igm and pigm files. So basically, you just press "sep. mats" in blendigo, and then rename your xxx-mats.igs to xxx-mats....

edit : Damn, too slow at typing Yeah, in the modifier you have to enable that option manually ("backface culling"), depending if you have glass materials or not. So I guess in Indigo you would need to have some automatic checkup to see if the mat is transparent or not before applying bakface cullin...

Oooh, sweet. Reminds me of that thread at BA's forum (micropoly script & tests). Now I don't know if this has anything to do with your method, but it sure looks the same. There's an option to subdivide only what's visible to camera btw (to save memory I presume), but I don't know if that can apply t...

Cool. By far the finest piece of vegetation rendered with indigo I've seen. It gives a very nice and soft mood to your shot. Btw what material did you use for the leaves ? A mix of diffuse transmitter and phong ? I did a few tests myself, but it's hard to find some decent tree models, and I hardly c...
