It was a one-man-project, mainly for researching algorithms, as stated. IIRC it was used for the master thesis and PhD-research of Wenzel Jakob (the developer). But he's still working on it, now under a open source licence. And he is closely working together with some Blender Devs to get a very good...

One thing that still bugs me:
If you have Clayrender activated and you do a material-preview you get a preview of the clay material.
Is it possible to only apply the clay-tag if you click on render and not on preview of materials?

To be honest, when using blendigo is the only time I switch back to 2.4x.
The rest of the time I exclusively use 2.5!
