As an example I would expect a script you use. Such as what I have been working on where I take bezier curves to build triangle surfaces for objects in indigo. Or perhaps a script to use a position and a target point and convert those to indigo's position and direction. Or another would be to load a...
m1j start with "doing loops and stuff" with XML first. THEN request the API.
Perhaps an example would be good to help "educate" us.

I would like to see the API concept as well. I like the xml system but I like being able to use functions and loops to build my scene. I am thinking that a direct connection would make that easier than populating a stringstream with the indigo xml format.

This might be good for most prople but I generally do not like programs that touch the system. I like being able to put indigo on a usb drive and take it to any computer I want and render. Not all of the systems I use needs indigo "installed". For those that need it it is a good idea but I hope indi...

[REQ]master slave auto file transfer

It would be nice if the slaves systems did not have to have a copy of the scene. The mastor would transfer all needed files through the master slave connection and the result would be transfered back.

M1J comes from mine and my wife’s name. It started out on AIM as M&J then we jumped to MSN and it did not like the & so I made it M1J and discovered a twist. The 1 could stand for won which would illustrate My victory of all the other suitters for her hand.

Gelato concept

I like the way NVidia handle Gelato. Free for small business and individual but priced reasoanable for bigger companies. Indigo could take this model very easy. Indigo in an embeded form would also have a cost. This would allow big software companies to selecet indigo as an embeded rendering engine....

Code Ownership

I think it is good that the code in under strict control. But perhapes a salect team of coders could be allowed to help. If a programmer wished to help that programmer would have to agree indigo must stay owned exclusivly by nick. I am not sure what Nick has in mind for the future of indigo but I wo...
...why wouldn't you just model that way?
Ha but that is what i have been looking to overcome. It is not always easy nor is it easy to store when you have that many triangles. Not all modelers have an easy way to turn a surface into a two sided thick surface.

Thick Triangles

I have wanted this for some time in a number of programs but has of yet I have not seen it to come to pass. It would be nice if we could set a thickness for the triangle. This would allow for the edge to hold a highlight. It could also work for things like paper or carpet. This has been faked with n...

Automatic emitter!

It would be nice if any color or texture where the value of the RGB exceeded 1 would automatically provide emitted light into the scene.

0 to 1 would be standard surface color but 1 to ~ would be an emitter.
That's basically how it's set up already.
