I know from experience a vanela build of firefox vs one with the 02 flag has difference of speed of over 2 times. EDIT: Which leads to...

@grimm

You need version 2.8, you can download the binarys strait from their website or compile them yourself, make sure your downloading the right version. It works fine on Ubuntu x64, i just downloaded the binaries.

apple comercials are fairly acurate compared to a lot of the other stuff we see on tv. Also, the x2 speed for internet depends on where you are, i know here in dallas x2 is about accurate. If apple getting sued of something as stupid as this, its amazing the axe comercials havent been slamed with su...

Im one of those people who, about a year ago, discovered this really neat 3D app that seemed to pack everything you could ever want (liquidds, physics, etc.).. Tried it and promptly gave up because the UI was a mess. Well, thats all going to change soon. http://download.blender.org/documentation/bc...

Yup, the i7 is awesome. Some Indigo tests done indicate the Core i7 is 2x or more faster than a Core 2 Quad at a similar clockspeed. does this mean ono has this shiny new toy? Debating wether or not i'm going to make the upgrade, hav a q6600 at the moment. I do not belive its necisary to get the tr...

Yay, someone else who uses this abbreviation :roll: :lol: But on a real note, I think a lot of people are going to hold out on GPU processing until larrabe lands (or is at least a little closer), which should realy shake up that aspect - as it is supposed much closer to a regular CPU tha...

The final stepping of the P4's support sse3, almost all 64bit capable CPUs are sse3 compliant. the only ones that arent are some of the Anthalon 64 (dont remember which stepping got the full sse3), and some of the Anthalon FX cards (again, not sure when it got it). All the Anthalon X2 series has sse...
