It'd be fun to do a comparison between the "inefficient" version of the file and the fixed version.

Like see how many samples you get after 3-6 hours on the first one, then on the second one. Or maybe I'm the only one interested by that

New window setup. More details :) Still missing columns but I'm gonna work on that. The floor tiles are too big, so gotta find a way to make 'em smaller. and...the glass is too reflective, but that's probably due to the light i added inside the room so that i actually could see something. anyway the...

Even 32-bit vs 64-bit, even Windows vs. Linux. Works fine across slaves.

Nope. Unless you're paging to disk a ton.

It will, however, allow you to (with a 64-bit renderer): render high resolutions, bigger meshes, more textures, etc.

I left the .blend on my work computer, but here's how to copy it: ((cookie recipe)) render and enjoy. Sounds like a recipe for cookies. And cookies are only slightly less awesome than Indigo. I just ordered 4Gb of RAM for my PC (to replace the very slow 2Gb i have now), will it speed up/shorten my rendering time?
