I figured out an quick way to divide the leaf mesh up into small parts so it was easy to texture. http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p50/doublez1/im1228179851.png I tried a new bark texture an I don't really like it. I also used default phong which doesn't really help. Now I'll try a scene with a bu...

There is plenty of documentation on the new one. It's really easy to figure out. Why don't you actually put an effort for once instead of asking us how to do everything for you.
I'm not trying to be mean, but it seems you never try to anything yourself.

Borgleader
It seemed to work just fine for me, but was a little slower than other trees. I didn't let it finish exporting though.

Juniorsatan No. I looked for an import option like that and didn't see any. I'm using blender. Kram1032 I guess I'll look into instancing. [just tried it] It seems I'm just copying and pasting when I use alt+d (in blender). Borgleader Its cool. Just download it from the link I posted earlier and tr...

I don't want to upgrade to keep using old technology because it would cost me more money in the long run. I guess I'll keep using what I'm using for now. One day I'll upgrade to the best that's out.

I know.

Is there a mobo I could get that can have a pentium 4 or a quadcore on it? Or is that not possible?
It would be nice to be able to use the same processor until I can upgrade that too.

I'm pretty sure it's pci. Is there any website I can check to make sure?

[edit] Just searched and it's pci.

I wasn't rendering, I was trying to texture the leaves on one of the trees in the last pic. Maybe if I broke the mesh into smaller parts it would be easier, but I don't know if it would be possible. To many verts in a small area.

New video card?

Right now I only have an intel integrated graphics chip. I was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to a new graphics card if I only have pci slots?

Is it bad if my computer automatically restarts itself while I was working one of these just now?
