Re: Free edition of vue released

It is marketing material ne0. They are using semantics to paint a picture of the product that they want you to see. They are not in "opposite contexts" they are in the same context i.e. output restriction. They hope that the picture they paint is good enough to get you to install it so you can begin...

btw I admire your good nature and stubborness - most would have move on by now :-) "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds..." - Ralph Waldo Emerson 1841 Doug, it ceases being cute after about the hundredth instance of practised ignorance. Those who chide ne0 for has repeated displa...

Re: Free edition of vue released

ne0. As Pixie rightly pointed out here this is all about semantics. In indigo language the logo stamp is referred to as a watermark, hence why I quoted what I did. Generally a watermark is considered to be a semi transparent stamp that is placed over the image in a way as to ensure it is unusable fo...

Re: One more reason to look forward to Win7

oh, it's on again ^^ btw, Wyt... I read an interesting article about how and why Windows is more secure than OSX - written by a hacker. If I find that again, I'll post it here... Well that doesn't surprise me, an I can't comment as I really don't know but....America is more secure than Australia bu...

Re: One more reason to look forward to Win7

Well MS actually needs some defence on a couple of these points. The awful security will probably in the end come down to the fact that if MS was to provide a more complete security system as part of the Windows package then they would probably get slapped with yet another anti-competion lawsuit. I ...

I hate such comments... Mac Os X freezed about 10x oftener that my Vista on my iMac, and I'm working 80% on windows... so please, please, please stop it! 1. This was a joke ZomB, note the winkie. 2. I have never had an OS related crash or freeze on my Mac Pro ever, not once. So I will tell it the w...

Re: One more reason to look forward to Win7

@ne0 Well here's a link to an article I wrote for codeproject.com sometime ago. I wrote this just before becoming completely disillusioned with Windows and shifting to Linux. I then found Linux to be too wild and out of control, and finally found peace and happiness with Mac OS X. The article demons...

Re: One more reason to look forward to Win7

Well to bring this thread back down from screaming pitch and to build a bridge I will interpret that video for you. What you are seeing there are applications making use of GPUs for either display or non display related acceleration. So in that video I see a simple photo editor that is using the GPU...
