Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.19 Beta Release

After my first test with this new version i must say that .....OpenCL is not working for me ( just like the 4.2.18 version, that is why i still keep the old 4.2.14 version ). There is no progress in the rendering screen even when the progress bar keeps running. I also have found that any change free...

Re: Small Bathroom

hey Lal-O, there are several issues in this scene you should take care of: 1) your plasterwhite0083_3_ostion MAterial is a texture with RGB values above 204. reduce these in a image editor to max 204 in any colour or reduce it by lowering the B value of the texture (b of 0.85 would reduce the Red i...

Hi There pixie !

Well...That really bad news
After getting used to the GPU , is sooo frustrating to go back to the AWESOME but slow Bidir MLT ( all is slow compared to GPU speedness  )

Nice try btw

Re: water

From the tutorial: https://www.indigorenderer.com/documentation/manual/indigo-sketchup/tutorials/modelling-pool-sketchup "First off, we have to change the render mode to Bidirectional with MLT: This is very important as it's the most efficient mode for rendering these kind of caustics." That mode i...

Have you switched to CPU rendering and did it work there ?
Hi Headroom
Yes i have, but no luck...Probably i need to wait more time to see if the caustics shows up...
There is only one more thing left that i need to try ....to model the waves in the water plane :D .

Re: Small Bathroom

Hi Lal-O! About your rendering times...first of all: SPECIFICATIONS (of you machine) Then, the usual tricks. 1. in this kind of scene, black environment 2. no perfect "whites" (no 255 255 255) 3. detach of at least 0.1mm the reflective surfaces between each other (eg. the glass panes from their met...

Re: Washed out colours after exporting

Hi zeitmeister.

The problem is when Indigo starts to render after exporting from skindigo( and through the rendering process ).
The saving file process works fine ,if the image is well generated from the begining then the quality of the final image is good :D

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

Well, afaik the simple issue here is the gigantic differance in computing power between your CPU and GPU. By running both in OpenCL mode the CPU usually bottlenecks the GPU perfromance, therefore the combined speed can be way below pure GPU perfromance. Also CPU OpenCL drivers can be very limiting ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

Disable your CPU as a openCL device and try again, this could help. Yeah, well...It worked by disabling the CPU :). Correct me if i am wrong but...If i do this ... i'd be losing the extra power of rendering that gives the CPU when enabled both devices ( CPU+GPU ) right? As far as i know, indigo is ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

Hi Zom-B No problem in the render log. This is what i get after 7/10 min render. ( The image says 12 seconds , but i let it render more time and the result was the same ). With the 4.2.14 i got a very impressive progress compared to this new release. Final result with 4.2.14 Here: https://www.indigo...
