Re: linear 1.0 with caterpillar scene

So we can view a pure linear render on the indigo viewport while its rendering without having to save an untonemapped exr? Then add gamma 2.2 to the viewport for reference?

Re: Why dees indigo RT export textures per frame?

Sorry I was typing fast. Lots of errors in my post. I thought I mentioned it but anyway I'm using the Iclone plugin. But I'm not a long time user of Iclone(just over a month in fact) and it seems this is a new plugin developed just recently. It exports out mesh and textures for every frame in ...

Why dees indigo RT export textures per frame?

Why indigo RT have to export the textures in a separate folder per frame instead of making it a single folder that contains all textures?
The igs and igq files are textbase so why can't they created to point to a single texture folder?
The mesh per frame is more logical but not the textures.

Re: linear 1.0 with caterpillar scene

So 2.2 value here is like srgb? I just do renders in linear with gamma 2.2 for reference but do the actual tonemapping in post. The caterpillar scene got me confused a bit. :D This linear setting is not gamma, but only a linear multiplier in the case its needed like for scenes that aren't arranged ...

Re: linear 1.0 with caterpillar scene

Thanks. I usually render in linear and was confused why linear 1.0 with that scene is pure black and even cranking it up was not enough to brighten the caterpillar. So I thought this wasn't a linear hdr scale. So 2.2 value here is like srgb? I just do renders in linear with gamma 2.2 for reference b...

Re: Render Queue and image settings

It focuses on the actual frame rendered by the master where the slaves contribute to. I really would love to have an option to render one frame per slave too... Thanks. So if a node gets cut off its contribution gets discarded on the current frame just like vray spawner and octane renderer. WIsh th...

How will this affect the RT product? Discontinued? Features updated?

linear 1.0 with caterpillar scene

I assumed that linear 1.0 in tonemapping means linear image with no tonemapping applied. I think I misunderstand that setting. F stop at 32 and exposure to 1.0 in linear 1.0 the scene is very dark Ithought it would brighten up. So this scene can't be rendered with linear tonemap and really have to u...

Re: Render Queue and image settings

How does indigo renderer process scenes for network rendering? Does it render one frame per one node or does it do swarm type render of one frame all available nodes and then move on the the next frame? And how does network rendering store the image tonemapping settings for all frames that need to b...

Re: render looks differnt between render modes.

There is definitely a change when I use mlt modes in indigo RT. Didn't use rheinard tonemap.
Just checked in linear mode and its really different depending on the render mode.

Maybe something with indigo rt? Can indigo standalone render indigo rt scenes?

Re: render looks differnt between render modes.

My card is lowend and it only helps rendertime to speed up by 10-15 overall.
Doesn't supersampling just render the scene x=n times? Wouldn't that increase rendertime more?
Isn't faster to render a scene 10000 pixels then scaling down x5 in photoshop.

Thanks for the indigo scenes for testing. It would be great to provide the compiled PIGS file so we can test them.

render looks differnt between render modes.

Hello. Evaluating indigo for purchase and doing some tests. I'm getting drastically different renders with bidirectional pathtracing vs bidirect mlt. I wanted to speed up render and not use pathtracing(I know its more accurate) but the results are very different. How can I make it more consistent an...
