....you shouldn't use autosmoothing in Indigo. It's buggy. If you meant that, yeah 50nIt, check for autosmoothing and turn it off, if you used it. ;)... hmm, I did not realize that it was buggy. I actually had an identical set of segmented rendering problems with a glass object. I turned on autosmo...

Dang, these are nice. They look like professional concept renders. That's an interesting concept for a school(?). It looks like elevated classrooms and a variety of common areas.

How about Auto Smooth function in editing mode? Do you have that set? Also, if you have a large enough angle, then all but the top lip/rim should be smoothed out.

I wouldn't call that a trash gallery at all. In fact, some of those architectual renders, your maquettes (self-portraits I presume), and some of the low light scenes with the goblet as an emitter are quite nice.

Cloudwright looks interesting. It may be worth a try.

But has anyone else tried using Terragen2 along with Indigo? You can kick out your T2 renders directly in OpenEXR format.

An example of a little fooling around with HDRI/exr maps. Although, I seem to get some weird color artifacting/misalignment when the map is a used as a background. I'm probably zoomed in too close.

Only I think if you use a scene constructed in TS4 and then load it into TS7. I don't recall that TS4 is sophisticated enough for such scripting or exporting.

I got it to work... Thank you very much for the walk-through! It was very helpful.

I may be able to now use 7.5trial to import and render out portions of scenes from 6.6 8)

I recently downloaded the trial of 7.5 and it looks like a few differences between it and earlier versions like 6.6. Even after going through all these threads, I still don't have a clue where to put that exporter or how to make it work properly. Anybody care to enlighten a 7.5 newbie? (The t...

How about other settings on the camera? Is it set to autofocus or is the focus set to a defined distance?

That's great! I almost would've been completely fooled if not for the absence of a ground plane. Is that w/HDRI map?

This is great stuff... I've spent so much time playing with Indigo the last several weeks. It's got me interested in Blender again.

I also get an fatal error using Bidir in this release: it says I must use meshes instead of planes... but I think I've deleted all the planes from the scene.
