Re: Render crashes after an hour every time!

Thanks for your comments about the voltage guys, I will have a look at this today. CTZn, without sounding too much like a rookie - But I have used indigo for a year and half but haven't dabbled with GPU. I use indigo 2.4.13. Can you please tell me more about this? I have looked in my indigo settings...

Re: Render crashes after an hour every time!

It's not a heating problem, I've taken temperature tests and also cleaned the inside of the computer from dust. Dopes anyone know if there is a memory capacity for indigo renderer? I always delete the tre cache but there is a materials cache that's about 250mb in the folder....

Re: Render crashes after an hour every time!

Thanks Zom-b,

I am, using skindigo v 2.4.13 so it's over a year old... I will look into updating to the current version but it still doesn't explain why the computer is shutting down all of a sudden, regardless of the version? As it has been working fine for a year and a half....

Render crashes after an hour every time!

Hi Guys, Bit of an urgent matter, would really appreciate any advice.... I've been using Skindigo intensively over the last year and a half, and now when I render an image, my computer will shut down by itself between half an hour and an hour into it. The computer screen goes all BLUE and says ' a p...

Re: HDR Lighting & Shadows Technique

Just had a browse on the link - it seems like quite a drawn out process just to get darker shadows.... Surely there must be a better way??? Or is this something that will be resolved in the next edition of Indigo?

HDR Lighting & Shadows Technique

Hi Guys, Please help! First of all please excuse the basic image, this is used purely for testing purposes. Here's the problem, I am struggling to get dark shadows on my renders using a hdr for my environment. I have adjusted all the options and this is the best I can get! I have even brightened the...

Re: Residential Project - Photo Montage

Hey guys, appreciate the feedback..... Galinette/Cotty - good call on the shadows, lighting and the blurring of the proposed - this actually worked a treat and went some way in making the proposed building blend into the context a bit better. Bosseye - cheers for taking the time! You're right, very ...

Residential Project - Photo Montage

Hello people, I've been working on this montage and need some help! Basically to keep it simple - I need more realism in the model! At first glance you can see it is a computer generated visual but what can I do to improve this aspect? I've done a bit of photoshopping - clouds over the windows, reta...

Large shopping store

Hi guys, I've just produced this render for a client in London - I have recently branched out into doing some freelance work and was hoping for some critical advice in order to elevate my skillset for future projects. I built the model in sketchup. One thing I struggle with is creating a glass effec...

Re: Creating light cones for internal shot

Hi, thanks for replying. I don't want to create a mist inside the room as that will overshadow the elements of the room. I simply want some visible light to come out of the many circular ceiling lights - similar to the image attached. If I'll get that result from your message then I'll give it a go ...
