Re: Real Project #2- Rural Porch House in Tennessee

If not then how do you make the whole scene besides the render ? Thanks for the question. That's a very.fu...

Re: Ideas for landscape rendering

Yes, I saw the post about external referencing & I need to test that!

A recent finished Indigo art work that uses 3d trees, plants & ground cover makes our images look like grade school work.

I don't think we have a choice but to figure it out & start using 3d landscape components!!!

Thanks

Re: [REQ] Additional 10 Light Layers!!

That makes sense. I think we have been doing that a little bit to keep the lights from being "blown out" & loosing detail. We will certainly need to be more aware of this in the future. Now that I know about the effects that various light power has on speed I understand why different scenes process ...

Re: [REQ] Additional 10 Light Layers!!

Thanks Zom-B That explains a lot! No wonder those combined artificial & env map lighting scenes take so long & can still be noisy even after reducing them to about 1000x600. Our main work station is a dual 6 core 3.0gz w/24gb ram (we use this as the master) & the other 3 are quad core 3.0gz w/8gb ra...

[REQ] Additional 10 Light Layers!!

We render interiors where the entire space is shown in lieu of partial settings. Typically this involves views to many different spaces & spaces that require many different lighting types (beam spreads, intensity, color) using IES files in addition to emitter materials. 2 current projects include a ...

Re: Ideas for landscape rendering

Thanks for the topic & the link. We have instanced grass but not trees. We do a lot of rural projects with lots of landscape & our modeling of it is just ok but not realistic (see recently posted projects) We have been using lots of 2d plants & textures for ground cover with marginal success & even ...

Re: Cindigo Question: Setting up a correct IES emitter mater

Yes I followed the Tutorial & it works for 1 or 2 different IES files but as soon as I add more I get the num_lamp error again. Well............................. The problem that I was having with using IES files IS NOT AN INDIGO PROBLEM After testing, the IES files that I downloaded from Indigo web...

Re: Cindigo Question: Setting up a correct IES emitter mater

IES Lighting in visualization software for interior architure is really becoming a big deal. $100-200 software like Lightup, Twilight, etc are doing a great job with ease of use for obtaining IES lighting effects. More progressive software like Twinmotion has an easy way to fake real lighting (beam ...

Re: Cindigo Question: Setting up a correct IES emitter mater

I have the exact same problem with lighting an interior.

PLEASE SEE BELOW.....

IT WAS THE IES FILES THAT CAUSED PROBLEMS FOR OUR RENDERINGS, NOT INDIGO.

So test multiple IES files because for some reason some are corrupted.

Thank you.
