Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release

it's time to throw my laptop with Nvidia 750M in the trash Why? Is there no external alternative? Net option? after i end up working mobile (SP3) i just sent stuff elsewhere :) & This is why i hate modern soldered crap. Goes against all common sense. Everybody wants to profit just on limiting users...

Thanks for the info.
Which AMD card do you use? (you didn't listed any)
Does it work in unison with the 1070?

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release

Hey, just downloaded the Beta 4.0.46, it does not recognize my nVidia GTX 1070 as an OpenCL device - it says "No supported OpenCL devices" in the OpenCL Rendering tab. Is there anything I should do or configure or is this GPU not supported? GPU Rendering was working fine with the stable 3.8.29 vers...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.0.46 Beta Release

Wooow... this is running f-fast! What wizardry. Even bidir on CPU seems much faster. On few scenes i had a feeling as if it ran on GPU :D You've done an excellent job! BTW Also faking dispersion is still an option and not that bad at all. Clients/spectators don't know, they just see pretty pictures ;)

Confirming, OpenCL renders pitch black...
... a material override would come in handy here, is there such an option in Indigo?

 modernized plastic cafetiera does it needs to be plugged in to work (thinking of wireless or battery charge, no open fire  ) if not... evolve, make it wireless/mobile, nowadays that would really mean something & would be easy with the modern high charge capacity batteries... if they c...

Mac future: Metal, not OpenCL...

Have noticed that the 'Apple' is trending to move towards Metal, so as title goes, am interested on more thoughts / opinions and a possible in-depth knowledge on the matter... Have never owned an Apple HW, also since openCL is not enforced as CUDA is... ... i know nothing :? I only hope it won't com...

Re: [repost] Need advice about GPU choice.

Hi! Anyone with results from RX 480? As lately there were some improvements for rendering with Cycles (openCL). Note: Nvidia GTX 10xx cards are not optimized yet; CUDA8 is in development. On the koro and fishy cat scene, the RX 480 is after all latest commits to the split kernel the fastest card. 29...
