Re: UV problems

UVLayout tutorials are on their homepage. http://www.uvlayout.com . Without those tutorials it would be almost impossible to use this software because its so shortcut based and there is no way you can figure out those keys on your own (in this respect it's similar to Blender). Its very archaic looki...

Re: UV problems

UV tools is nice plugin to make it possible to map difficult models with external software. You simply select faces or model you want to UVmap and use UV tools to export those faces to OBJ file. Then map your OBJ using external software (I use UVLayout), when done, save your OBJ and then use again p...

Re: UV problems

Nope! No subdivision is used. Mesh should be rendered as it is modeled.

UV problems

Can somebody explain, what I am doing wrong. Sketchup shows perfectly mapped armchair, but when I hit Render, result is somewhat different. For UV maping I'm using Whaat's UV tools and exporter is Skindigo 2.4.13.

Re: REQ: shaders based on normal direction

I believe you. I've seen your work and used your codes and materials.

By the way, can you explain how your Special Car Paint works. How can I change color and what other parameters can I change?

Re: Velvet shader

I found something interesting from older topics:http://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/vie ... f=7&t=7505
Second picture is close to what I am willing to do. So how can I use this code. I tried it, but it doesn't work. What to do to get similar result?

Re: REQ: shaders based on normal direction

Okay, more than year have passed from last reply but here my question: Is it now possible to access normal direction. I want to create some fake velvet shader but I don't know how to use ISL. How can I use normal direction as material blend map. My intention is to create two materials with slight di...

Playing guitar, reading books about psychology, cooking and philosophizing when drunk. Oh, and poker if friends gather together.

Re: Velvet shader

I'm thinking if there is possible to use fresnel effect to boost color/light where surface is turned away and lower the surface reflection on areas where normals are directed toward us?

Re: Velvet shader

OK, but then, have someone successfully faked velvet in decent manner with indigo? Any ideas and tricks would be appreciated.

Velvet shader

Have anybody done velvet shader. As I understand it is possible with shaders, but I don't speak any code. I tried metal material with exponent 10 but then it looks like silk/satin. So my question: Is there someone capable of creating velvet shader. Even better would be if some genius could create fu...

Re: User interface updates and progress

I agree with Godzilla that zooming in percentage is more intuitive. Sometimes it confuses me which do I need 2:1 or 1:2 My sugestion of percentages would be. 25,50,75,100,150,200,300 and Fit to window too. Another change I'd like to see is that Imaging, Render Settings, Light Layers etc would appear...
