High memory consumption in linux 64 bit when rendering.

I have trouble with indigo 1.1.15 under 64 bit Linux. It hogs memory out of this world. I have a simple scene of a toy formula 1 car and when rendering just 800*600 with 1 mesh light. and it uses about 3 gigabyte with ram. And thats with subsurf set on minimum. Whats the issuue here? This is the only resemblence i find to aperature width in igs. .<aperture_radius>0.000671</aperture_radius> So I am guessing this is it then.

its the outer diameter of the ring.

What filmsize would i have? I got the 35 mm film in blendigo. Shoul i set it to a higher value?

hmm. okay. I mentioned how big the ring is in hte first picture. Its diameter is 1.7 cm.

Diamond ring

Need a good diamond material for this ring here. And what is the .nk material for white gold?

And how to get the entire ring in focus. The ring is in fact scaled down to 0.017 blender units. Which after my calculations should be 1,7 centimetre.

problems using .nk data

I got some issues with .nk data.

I can't use them cause indigo is unable to open my nk data folder upn rendering? Dunna whats wrong with that.

And i am runnin blendigo 1.09 and indigo 1.09 on a linux 64 bit machine.
