Re: Indigo is going commercial; Indigo 2.0

Congratulations Ono for getting a payday :)

Hope you can make some sort of living out of it.

Cheers!

How did you get that hand material in the first picture? Also too much DOF!

j/k

I suggest you look at some of the car materials as a starting point

Merry christmas!

Wyt really impressive work and I admire you for doing things the hard way...

But since this is a Deus post there will always be a "but". Wouldn't boolean operations and mesh simplification give you the same result? (perhaps even better)

filippo let me give you a very kind remark. Try to avoid capslock and uppercase in excess if you want to be taken seriously. Besides that everyone gets inspiration by copying more or less. Aslong as you state your source material and don't use it comercially you should be fine!

I think my remark was very productive. Sacrifice something for the greater good. Great engineering is always about trade-offs. I'm not being arrogant just realistic with a good rationale. I think however there is good middle ground. Either Ono releases a "compatible version" without any strange haxx...

Seriously. If you have a CPU that doesnt support SSE2 then you shouldn't be running indigo anyway... Or you can run it but you will be done rendering when you retire.

You know that you see a great render when the only thing that you can complain on is that sofa looks tacky and floor too ;)
