You need exit portals in both windows. Light only goes through exit portals if one is in the scene.

I'm guessing because the obstacle map depending on it's resolution will be smoother on larger renders, so you might need a much higher res obstacle map.

Lasso select the sky as close to the trees as possible then use the smart blur filter.

Guessing you're using a backplate, so hdr tonemapping is out of the question.

Fix the white balance first. It's quite blue. Image > Auto Color works well as a start. Then the curve in the attached image was used and some selective color to color the sky. This should really be done on a raw hdr render and not an 8 bit image though. Added a new image with better colors for refe...
