Re: Render Engine Comparison - Blender

You can push it for more realism, but where Indigo lacks is workflow and integration.

Indigo 4 and MBP 2017, anyone?

I am planning to purchase new MBP with Radeon 560 4GB. Did anyone used it, what is your experience? How good is 560? I am not planing to use it for final renders, just for developing scenes and materials.

Re: Updated Blender Plugin

Eager to see new plugin implementation. Lack of good Blender plugin is why I did not upgrade yet to Indigo 4. And now I switched most of my work on other render engines, which means I will not upgrade ever. Current Indigo plugin is not bad, but there are a lot quirks that are just not good for every...

Re: Blendigo 3.8.25.1

Maybe because I generate igimesh by export Indigo scene. I go to Export->'Export Indigo Scene' as 'Export Indigo Mesh' does not work.

Re: Blendigo 3.8.25.1

Yeah I meant linked libraries. Create blend file with object and materials and just link it in master scene. I did try method you described before but I never manage to render anything because I am always missing material. Tried what you wrote, plus gazillion combinations and could not manage to mak...

Re: Blendigo 3.8.25.1

Thanks for this! One step closer for me to upgrade. What are the chances to implement support for Linked Libraries?

Re: Instances of parented object export problem

Yeah I saw that already :D I wanted to upgrade and to use Indigo in project I just started but will have to go with something else. This bug is really showstopper, and I do not have time check python code myself.

Re: Instances of parented object export problem

It is definitely bug. I can create one instance of group by rightclickin in grp outliner. But as soon as I add one more I got error with Indigo.

Good luck with waiting though.... This is main reason why I am not upgrading.

Market is way too competitive nowadays, so waiting is not alternative :D My company already went different route.

Re: Request: Node Support

Exactly, was talking about Blender plugin. As a matter a fact except C4D and Maybe Sketchup? exporters development is dead. Which is wrong strategy imho. Nowadays ppl favour mostly workflow. What would I bother with 15% gain in render speed if I lose 50% speed in workflow. Also I am actively involve...
