Re: Blendigo for Blender 2.5 BETA

Is the exporter configurable for different versions of indigo ( in particular I still use 1.1.18) I'm sorry, but 1.1.8 is just too old to continue supporting. I'm not even sure if I'll be supporting the current stable version in the Blender 2.5 exporter. I figured that may be true as a non-commerci...

Re: What going to happen to us?

Well, I haven't read every page of this thread, jumping a few in the middle, but my view on it is this, Good Luck Nick, I thoroughly enjoy using indigo and it's a great renderer, you deserve some return and I had figured that this would go commercial although a bit of me had hoped it might go the ot...

I am assuming you mean that 1.1.15 indigo offers more light control then previous version, blendigo older versions had a power / efficacy scale but now just has gain / multiplier?

Arrghh, dumb user issue

Ok, playing with a scene, UV mapped my mesh, go to do a test render I get the UV set doesn't exist error. Back to mesh, adjust map, change uvset names generally mess about for an hour and a half, still no success :( then zoom out and realise that I had another mesh off screen with the same material ...

best way to handle it is to shoot the dumb user   Ok after playing a little more today I realised this - I was grabbing a closed primitive (Sphere), applying a solidify selection modifier, I was leaving the skin sides box selected on the modifier, with no sides to skin this appears to me...

Well folks, I posted this one a while ago, since then I've noted that the solidify selection script and blendigo / indigo don't like each other sometimes. so down to simple scenes, add a sphere use solidify selection to create a skin (either pos or neg) and quite often indigo just halts at the doing...

I really think I would be doing you a disservice if I suggested spending money on upgrading it. Don't get me wrong if you have a 478 box that does what you need it for without changing it then why change - but money upgrading this is money on goods that won't be usable with many of the bits you can ...

if you know your mobo make/model an internet search should turn it up - it'll tell you the socket type of your CPU.
