Testscene results from Core i7 for Indigo 111

I recently upgraded my old system and thought I would post some results I grabbed from running a quick testscene. First I must say I am using Indigo 111 because I have not launched a render in a number of months and this is the last version I became comfortable with. Indigo 111 on XP32 - Core i7 920...

Very clear render BbB. Sure makes it look much more life like when your eyes are not drawn to noisy areas of an image.

It's beautiful! :)

Off topic in an off topic post but it's about games: :) I play ETQW now and then. When the teams are balanced it is quite fun. Been reeeeeeeeeeally busy lately though and have not played for a couple weeks. Well, it was nice to pop in and now I must go do more things on my "list of things to do toda...

I think the lack of "easy to use" comes from the way these programs work. They are separate programs that need exporters to take data out of the users 3D program and convert it to the render software code. I don't know how easy this can be. And an attempt to make it easy takes a lot of time that dev...

For this problem Pixie, I do a test render in the GUI to see how it looks, then if all is good I restart the render in console version for maximum efficiency.

Your going to make Ono hardcode these values... :P Judging from his response now and then about changing default render values, it is not a good idea. It can cause 'render bugs' to appear for various reasons especially when people new to Indigo try changing them. As far as I know he has never really...

Hello CTZn, I always value your feedback. Here are some answers to your questions: "no internal medium name selected" error is caused when you try to add a specular or glossy transparent material to the list. Since these materials refer to mediums, you will need to first create your mediums. When yo...

Hi Ono, since I am no longer an active developer I do not want to comment on this but share a quick thought as you know I switched to .obj format some time ago. I think it is best to be fit to a standard that has been around for awhile and is quite common in 3D apps. :)

nVidia Gelato 2.2 Pro was recently released as free. Someone has a Blender exporter for Gelato in the nVidia forums. I tried Gelato a long time ago when they had a free version but I could not understand how it all worked. :) You need a nVidia card to use it. The Pro version says Quadro cards are su...
