Re: Network rendering resolution issue
All resolved. A bit of experimenting with different resolutions and it became apparent that anything over 1mp would fail to network - which is obviously a licensing issue as thats the max res on the trial version. So we double checked all the licenses again and although everything is correctly licen...

Network rendering resolution issue
Hi, We've recently upgraded to Indigo 4. Its very good! However, we're having an issue with network rendering - over a certain resolution it doesn't work; the slave PCs show up in the window on the right, but then all drop off one by one. I've tested with the default resolution options in the Indigo...

Re: Resuming buffer num layers does not match: 3 vs 2
Another weird one - another power cut (don't ask!), two renders running from two different model files, both shut down. So I tried resuming the first render from the IGI file loaded up ok and started rendering....but then I checked back a few minutes later and its rendering one image with a ghost im...

Re: Resuming buffer num layers does not match: 3 vs 2
Huh, I've started the render again last night, the backup IGI files work fine. I don't need to use them, but they're fine. Maybe just a random error for the previous render then? The IGI gave the appearance of loading, the OpenGL preview window shows the model but then the error pops up. So no, I co...

Resuming buffer num layers does not match: 3 vs 2
Hi all,
I get the following error when trying to resume a render from an IGI file:
Resuming buffer num layers does not match: 3 vs 2
Just had a power cut and lost the running render. What does the error mean? Can I fix it?
Thanks

Re: Sketchup 2018 Pro compatibility
I'm working on a business case at the moment for an upgrade of the seats and nodes we already have to v4, but for now I wanted to know if Sketchup 2018 Pro will work with what we have.
Can anyone confirm?
Thanks

Sketchup 2018 Pro compatibility
Hi all,
I did run a search, but didn't see an answer? Nice easy question - is indigo v3.8.33 (and whatever version Skindigo is on) compatible with Sketchup Pro 2018?
I have the option to upgrade from 2017 but obviously no point if Indigo doesn't work.
Cheers

Re: Help creating displacement map
Thanks for the reply! I can't believe that though, the point of maps is to remove the need to model actual geometry. If I can't get this to work then yes, I'll have to model a number of parquet tiles and then duplicate around but that will take a little while, especially where I have to trim the com...

Help creating displacement map
Hi all! As I can't use all the lovely v4 textures (still on v3), I'm trying to create one of my own in photoshop. A herringbone parquet floor. Need help with my displacement map, what am I doing wrong? I made this by tracing black lines over the texture image. I've also tried version messing around ...

Matched photo view perspective changing when deleted
Hi All, Hope someone can help - its appears to be a Sketchup problem rather than indigo, but thought I would ask here just in case. I'm using match photo to set up a specific view/perspective so that my render can be dropped into the photo in photoshop later. Normally I follow these steps: 1) Insert...

Can I delete these files? scene_xxxx_meshes
I've just switched to an SSD as my main drive, so space is a premium. I've done a lot of clearing up of stuff I don;t need but running a file program identifies the Indigo 'server_network_cache' folder as a culprit. It has 25gb in it made up of hundreds of called: scene_8804_meshes scene_8536_meshes...

Re: interior renders
Check your white wall material too - make sure its not rgb 255,255,255. Thats pure white and will extend render times a lot which manifests as a lot of noise after a long time. Make sure your white values are around 205,205,205 gives acceptable whites, without dragging the render process out for a w...

Ah, ok thanks. I didn't have the toolbar out, I was just looking in the menus.
Nice one, I will try this. Thanks Pibuz!

Re: Sketchup - exporting errors (output error?)
Hi Boss! Sorry for having seen this a little late maybe. I got the same annoying issue, and I found to be sort of a Indigo camera issue. You can avoid that by getting rid of the camera distortion SkIndigo causes when loaded. You know that SketchUp provides an "advanced camera" toolbar: try to open ...
