Sounds great, but before I start messing with this feature I wonder how/if I can convert my Indigo Lifetime Licence and the node Licences to the new scheme? Has anyone done this already or knows if it's possible at all?
Regards,
Erwin

Re: Indigo Renderer Opensource Projects
Yes, that's the way to go! I really appreciate you efforts to release this kind of information/documentation. Everyone interested in writing converters, creating interfaces etc. will benefit. And so Indigo Renderer will benefit too. We're working on opensourcing the non-core parts of our business - ...

Hi! I'm totally new to "instancing" and I was looking for some tips, until I found this interesting post... So, if I try Pibuz's second method, this means that the "tree_dummies" will be replaced with the original "tree" in the final render, while in the SU view I will only have basic shapes for ev...

Re: How to reduce export time?
This is something pretty obvious and I would be surprised if it hasn't been brought up before, but does indigo currently only export what is in front of the camera? Obviously, you would have to worry about what should be reflecting/refracting and whatnot but maybe indigo can look at your scene, and...

Re: Indigo Logo being stubborn
Have you checked in your exporter to see if the logo is enabled? Yup, it's not. It's like Zom-B said, only the machine with the master license can start renderings that lack the logo, however there sems to be no restriction on size. I find that rather strange having to buy more main licenses to sta...

Indigo Logo being stubborn
Hi, I have been happily using Indigo 2.2.12 for quite some time now. I am running it on 3 Machines (lifetime license with 2 node licenses). Since my main workstation at work has only 2GB RAM I sometimes have to fire up the GUI on my Linux render slave (4GB RAM) and use the workstation as a slave. It...

[ISSUE] Runing free slave node with licensed version
This is probably not too important - in my case it was a bit disturbing though: for a few weeks I have been running alot of tests with the free version of Indigo just to figure out different things and only during the last week I activated my license and started 'real' work. Unfortunatly I forgot to...

Re: Lens Flare effects.
:) wow I never realized Indigo was capable of such effects... I've heard obstacle maps mentioned, but never bothered to learn what it was, and it happened to be exactly what i've been looking for. Thanks Fused! Sorry for the useless thread, feel free to delete. :( No, other newbies like me ca...

Re: About 10 Indigo lifetime licences left
Oh, no. I've been looking all around for the last two weeks for any news about how many lifetime licenses were left. I couldn't find any definitive info anywhere. I was mulling over springing for one before most of the holiday shopping got underway. All I did was reading the forum every other day o...

Re: Indigo 2.2.11
I don't know if this is a linux specific problem but there seems to be a problem with running network slaves finding nkdata: Indigo Renderer v2.2.11, Linux 32-bit Release build. Licence not verified, running in free mode. Scene file path: './cache/network_cache/3837815674/scene.igs' Loaded energy l...

Re: Indigo 2.2.11
Allright, the Windows network client works just fine, so there seems to be a Linux related issue with finding nkdata. I will try other nkdata later this weekend and report.
Other than that I want to express how much I like Indigo after (still mostly) playing around with it.

Re: SkIndigo 2.0.12c (Updated 26 Aug 09)
Jeff, although I have not tried this feature yet I guess the way it works is you draw an object in Sketchup, select the object and hit the G Key to make it a component, then make as many copies of this component as you want. Then select one of the copies and enable the SKIndigo instancing. This woul...
