Proposal ,Add the function of automatically saving IGI.
This is available since Indigo v1.
What 3D app do you work in, maybe somebody can guide you to the right checkbox :)

Re: Indigo Dev Update Q4 2020

did you ask vray and thea user if they actually using cpu or GPU ? adding CPU gives only 20% more speed with 10 core i9, in most scenes even less. unless you 64 core threadripper. using moth makes scene laggy too. i prefer to 2:30 minutes for print rendering and have a "workable" computer then have...

Re: Crash while loading a normal texture

Hey William,

welcome to Indigo.

You are using a 2 years old Indigo build, please try the recent one from here and try your material setup again :)

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.15 Release Candidate

Hey Mr Black, yes a final stable 4.4 build is on the horizon. Whats up next can be seen in this still warm newspost: https://www.indigorenderer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=15994 This read should also answer your CUDA/RTX question ;) Regarding the performance of GPUs I suggest to check Guru3D for t...

Re: Strange light behavior

If you could upload a reduced c4d version of the scene, mainly with these greenish glass parts, I could investigate this.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.15 Release Candidate

please, add to indigo a possibility of loading video files (for example, quick time "mov" codec) with alpha channels as textures, like current possibilty to load tiff pictures with alpha (in diffuse channel of the masterial). At the moment at least the C4D Exporter supports animated textures by usi...

Re: Fast rendering: CPU or GPU?

Hey Dziadek-NET,

sorry for coming back that late to you.
Since you just uploaded the SketchUp file only people with SketchUp can try it (not me).
If you run the Indigo renderer go to
File > Save as > Packed Indigo Scene

This pigs can be run directly in Indigo.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.14 Beta

Hey wob, your "strange_behavior2.zip" looks like there is some Z-Fighting going on, like your mesh has two planes super close together and they swap position due to precision limitations on GPU. If you could share a reduced source file this could be investigated further :) I often do animations too ...

Re: Fast rendering: CPU or GPU?

Hey Dziadek-NET, welcome to Indigo :) usually a GPU has the best performance over a CPU... by far. Interiors with Glassware can be very difficult for a GPU since it can only render in path tracing mode, while the CPU can also use BiDir and als MLT+BiDir if needed... both can help with glassware for ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.14 Beta

no, gigapixel 5 has jpg artifacts detection and blur motion detection (which will not have place in 3d renderings). So you don't want to show the power of your super duper denosier on this example and proof that OIDN is bad??! and i can't see that intel denoiser is state of art denoiser. it's killi...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.14 Beta

Here is the EXR for you, give me your best shot. I used SuperSampling of 1 to stay fair, but having higher SS raises the output quality of the denoiser to another level while keeping render time the same. Having Higher SS values let the render denoise in the internal resolution, usually the albedo a...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.14 Beta

topaz gigapixel ai is better and fastest denoise maschine. just use it, and you'll be happy. but it's better to use topaz denoise ai for scenes with fog. indigo's denoiser has a very beta state now. i can't use it with my cheap celerons (too slow), but gigapixel works great (because of it's gpu den...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.8 Beta

i alway prefer major updates of course. but if minor update was finished, why do not publish it immidiately? people like software with fast updates, not abandoned by developers. Indigo already has a quite fast update cycle, well, maybe its been a little faster in the past :P Nowadays there is more ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.8 Beta

This one is just a quick fix of a feature that has been new to 4.4.7 but was broken on GPU.
The updates maybe need a little longer nowadays, but then they are packed with stuff that usually is also better tested then in the past ;)
