Quite great ! Although the copper kinda unreal, maybe because it's too clean ?
How did you achieved this lightning ?

Re: Display of our product : plastic and metal looking dull
Yes, I'm actually looking for a general catalog image. I'll try other lightning setups when I'll be fine with my materials.

Re: Display of our product : plastic and metal looking dull
(I don't know why but my last message got lost) Thanks all for your insights ! Indeed lightning setup DOES matter. I overlooked this so far, and now I've made a studio of my own : much better results ! Env. map were not a success to me, but I'm not that skilled with it. Here are my renders so far, I...

Display of our product : plastic and metal looking dull
Hello everyone ! I'm having troubles getting a realistic render of the product we make. We're trying to get a photo like image since we can't afford actual photos in a studio. Here is the best I can achieve so far : https://www.dropbox.com/s/ixom3k91wmrmyjv/obox-iso-5.jpg As you can see there are mo...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release
I don't know that someone else posted materials with GUI-controlled ISL, I'm dying for one from Etienne ! Meanwhile, here are three from me that should be accessible to most users: milled_aluminium hammered_chrome MarbleStudio2D The controls are into the respective shader's editor windows. I have t...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release
Whaat has done something kinda like this in the SU exporter (see attached). You can switch from noob-friendly to full control by hitting the "UI" button. I think it's a good idea, yet the noob-friendly UI may feels a bit oversimplified... Can't tell if it's because I'm now used to the different para...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release
- 1. It's true that there is absolutely no indication what Exponent is. I'm not sure how we would communicate that to the user. A tooltip might help but it's not very visual. Any suggestions? What about something super simple "Reflection Glossiness" 0-100% as opposed to a range of 0 to bazillion, m...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.0 Beta Release
Hi guys, It's always nice to see you're so active ! I'm giving my 2 cents here, as a reflection on where Indigo is heading : Indigo is developing in the "more features" way (new materials, new tweaking possibilities...) but hardly in the "better usability" way. It looks -- IMO -- that Indigo can do ...

[solved] Re: Skindigo does not export some groups
That sounds very likely, I have like 10s of layers on this scene. I'll test it.
edit : it was that.

Skindigo does not export some groups
Hi all, I have a scene in sketchup with a dozen groups ; when I send them to indigo through Skindigo some goups are not included. It seems kinda random since it happened on 2 different groups that were sent correctly to Indigo otherwise. My only workaround is to explode the group before hitting the ...

Re: [REQ] official benchmark
+1, as many of us are buying cg cards or CPU looking for a perfect match to indigo...
Of course, as OpenCl and CPU optimizations in Indigo are frequent from one version to another, it might get tricky to have a score valid for a long time.

Re: Triangles in render, not in SketchUp model
In fact when you change the frequency the height should be changed inversely (twice the frequency gets half the height). Mmm that explains a lot. Thanks for the heads up ! From the render I can now say that the high frequency noise features are higher than their caracteristic width, if that's makin...

Re: Triangles in render, not in SketchUp model
Ok here's what i got to date. Obviously, frequency of the noise shader matters when it comes to this bump issue. You can also try to offset the outer profile Edges if you're working in SketchUp. You can do that with a plugin called ToolsOnSurface by Fredo6 on the SketchUcation forums. Or you can sta...
