An Art Deco room

Hi, all. :) This is my first full project on Interiors. I tried to bring some 1930s/40s atmosphere to the room. I decided to render it with Indigo, and, well, here are the results. Software: Windows 7 64-bit | Blender 2.49 | Indigo v1.1.18 Hardware: Intel Core2Quad Q9300 @2.5 GHz | 4 GB RAM. You can...

Re: What going to happen to us?

You treat us possible customers like an idiot. Dont think we are not recognizing this. Hey, hey... Benn made it clear: free version will be restricted in resolution and with a watermark. This is not a "demo", in the strict sense. And nobody will stop you from using v1.1.18. Let the guys work and do...

Re: What going to happen to us?

I'm a Luxrender user today, but I learned a lot with Indigo, specially on topics like absorption spectra and dispersion. I cannot afford commercial software at the moment, but I think it will be inevitable to go back to it someday. I think you should invest more time and resources on support and eas...

Index of Refraction

Hi, all. :) IOR of materials are measured in the Fraunhofer D-line of the spectrum (the sodium emission, 589.592 nm). The A-coefficient in the Cauchy equation is the material IOR, when wavelength tends to infinity. Indigo asks for the IOR and the B-coefficient. Which one is the correct value for the...

I might be wrong but i pretty sure it's not written in stone that indigo has to be used exclusively for modern day scenes. What if you wanted to do something with more of a sci fi feel? You are free to use whatever you want, neo0. What we are trying to say that you are not using the correct tool fo...

As I said, the definition of realism varies based on your subject matter. This is not as philosophical as it looks. "Realism" here is what we get when we just apply the Laws of Physics... In real life, not many things glow, but in a sci fi setting, there would be technology that doesn't exis...

If we're at it, I'd even like to have added effects of relativity... (of course with a switch as they'd make things slower by far) But ok, that might be extremely.... well... extreme^^ (But interesting for "real" sci-fi) _____________ Oh, I forgot: and all real-time. If not, it`s useless in the Hol...

Uh, and that's exactly what I was trying to do here. Add new features to indigo that make it artistically suited for a wider variety of subject matter. Neo0, Indigo is essentially a visualization tool. I would say it's a "visual simulation" tool. The program tries to mimmic the light behaviour thro...
