Thanks for the support CTZn, I'll certainly check it out see if I can find anything useful. However I've tried jpeg, and tif figured out tif was unavailable...) and will try tga. Render made it out without any texture- or whatever mistakes! http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/1706/im1233169724yl1.jpg 1...

Still crossing my fingers, however it seems to be fixed!!

I had three simple materials in the same mesh, now I made three different meshes each with one material. Now it seems alright! Hope it stays like this.

Still rather weird innit.

Thanks for the suggestion. However I don't get any error. I now see it's not actually holes in the mesh but mistakes with the texture. I've tried making the texture 1024x1024 and making sure it's just a simple jpeg, even with png it's not working well. Without the texture no 'holes' are visible. I'm...

Haha, just received a cd from a friend with recordings from his new little band. On the cd-r was written 'shameless self-promotion' :). Anyway.... Congrats! Very cool to see it in a mag like 3D world! Cool cool! Very cool work too, naturally! Haven't seen the top one before, very very cool work with...

No time to real all posts, but the 'R' seems a bit like a 'C' because of the shape and position of the middle grey shiny thingy. Perhaps with intention, otherwise a bit odd. Lovely design!!!

not bad at all, though the grass can't have any shape but straight up, it looks real nice! not sure if this is the best method to do grass for its real straight, but im sure it renders quite fast and is easy to do. nice done!

I double Doug's last sentence, "it looks like a compass".. if you aren't really happy with the result, maybe it's because of the model you chose to make.. it's a compass :) how can you be any more happy with it, it looks great, accurate and seems to have a history to it. more interesting than that, ...

lovely render, very accurate modeling. nice imo the texture should be way higher res for such an image, the ass-area :) even has some stretching, or so it seams. if you'd try n increase that texture res it would be lot more realistic. great nonetheless. always nice to see realistic humans being rend...

'Search' is a good tip.

More useful tip is this: 'Visit this website' and use those free cut-out photo's!

Woa, great one! Real cool, I love the aircraft and slightly tilted camera. And the textures of course. Reminds me of Half Life 2!

I do! Some details are really cool! The smooth rounded transp. plastic table top thingy, the mouse, keyboard and tank are great! Don't really lik the wall texture on the left, but other than that, really cool!

Ah, this turned out nice! I agree, the darkness works great for this render, well done! Glad the wall behind the shelves is lightened, nice choice. Right lightbulp is somewhat bright, but that might be deliberate. The floor (with it's texture and reflections) looks cool! Did you use a bumpmap for th...
