problem with amd is not there speed, its the actual technology that goes into them. amd doesnt have the same fan control and heat control that intel does and while it starts out faster, it looses speed over time do to frequent overheating. That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. I can't even beg...

I've always wanted a renderer that supported SVG. My renders always seem to have crisp stuff in them like signs, car paint, or both (like nascar). Just a pipe-dream of mine.

I like to put on a recording of myself talking. I believe that it is the most soothing sound ever, and the smartest thing ever. I can listen to that for hours. :D Other than that, anything 70's rock, or 80's hair. There isn't much from the last 15 years that I listen to except Gorillaz, Cake, or Dav...

I'll throw in my 2cents because I'm a well known thread killer. As much as I hate java and its "Just in time to be late" compiler, (I'm a c/c++ man to the core), I have to admit that on modern hardware its only a few clocks slower than a c++ program for REAL WORLD code. I'm a man that hates benchmar...

Just for fun I did some reading on both algorithms, but I couldn't find the answer to one thing. How well do they perform at the "teapot in a stadium" problem?

This is the makefile I'm using. Put it in the trunk/ directory. Its simple and doesn't check for modified headers, there are some circular dependancy warnings I have to work out. Hope that helps you. Later.

Just tried running it fullscreen on my 1600x1200 resolution and still no go. Did you compile your own wxWidgets to use unicode? That makes an incredible difference. Almost every single string literal has to be wrapped in _T (or its synonym wxT), there were also a doezen or so other conversions from ...

I've done something wrong. I got the code fine, and had to do some patching to get it to compile (unicode string conversions). When I open the sample igi it came with it displays nothing. It shows in the message output that its doing stuff, but I don't see anything. Compiled on Linux 2.6.20.7, wxgtk...

So, I'm a Linux fanboy. Right now I'm only running about 1 closed-source program out of 10 or so. But I'm also about to finish a comp-sci degree. Personally, he can give me any reason, any at all for not going open-source and I'll say "Cool." Space Aliens, Government Conspriecies, Communists, the ca...

I threw in my money, tried to make it an even USD, but I don't know how well that will work after paypal's cut. Is there a way you could have an running total or something? Even if it was just updated once a day manually. BTW, from what I've heard on all the sites I visit, you may not need to go ded...
