Re: Tabulated reflection values

Searching the forum, I see that it is @galinette that is behind the Saint-Gobain development: Dear Indigo users, During these last two years, Saint-Gobain Glass R&D worked with Glare on architectural coated glass rendering. We developed specific proprietary material models to provide an exact descri...

Re: Tabulated reflection values

Shouldn't you be able to recreate the tabulated data in the tabulated tab<-absorption, from the medium of your specular shader? The absorption part is fine, however I don't see how to create a tabulated parameter for the reflection of specular materials. Also, that private data is just 401 values f...

Tabulated reflection values

Hello! Is it possible to define tabulated reflection values for specular materials, or some other combination of materials for this? We have a client that has particular reflectance data that they want to represent, and specular materials seem to only reflect uniformly. I attach a sample photo of th...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.6.0 Beta Release

Hey, There seems to be a bug with Architectural Glass and Blend materials. The first image is using a simple Specular material with Architectural enabled. MV001_OnlyArch.png The second image is using the same material but also blended a tiny bit with a Phong material (0.1:0.9 ratio). MV001_Blend_Arc...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.6.0 Beta Release

Hi! Is the Blender exporter still being maintained? The current one does not seem to work for Blender 2.93, probably because of this issue: https://wiki.blender.org/wiki/Reference/Release_Notes/2.93/Python_API#Other_Changes Specifically, the bpy.props._PropertyDeferred thing. Looks like the type gen...

Re: Blendigo 4.3.0 - Blender 2.8

This is what the nodes look like currently. The nice thing is that you could have Indigo nodes side-by-side with normal Blender / Cycles nodes, to make it easier to switch back and forth, or share image textures.

Re: Blendigo 4.3.0 - Blender 2.8

Hi @MZ and @fused, A while back I played around with integrating the Indigo SDK with Blender through Ctypes with some pretty neat results. I know that the licensing issues prevent that from being an official add-on - which is a shame, because that would be the way to get a very tight integration int...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.5 Beta

Suuuper nice! Very quick first test shows a very noticeable speed increase with bucket rendering, and the denoising is amazing for getting quick and dirty renderings out. Fantastic work!

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate

I was scratching my head over some very weird Z-depth values, and then I came across this: 4.2.20 * Using scene radius with camera for normalising the depth channel. Could this be rolled back or made toggle-able so that you can use true Z-depth (distance in units/meters from camera)? It's inconsist...

Re: Indigo SDK results different from Standalone

the subtle difference in Sky color does hint towards GPU rendering too... best double check it Tom. That's probably because the SDK image is tonemapped in Blender. I'm not using the GPU in the SDK, and - since I'm writing the scene to .igs just before rendering - the output should be identical, sav...

are the trace depth settings the same?
They should be. The .igs is written out by the SDK so the settings should be the exact same...
