Paint Reproduction from Swatches
I'm painting the rooms in my house and trying to use Indigo to sample paint colours before buying samples. IMO those textures (the marble and wood) are horribly fake looking. The clouds I think are maybe a bit better, but compared to a real sky is just very plain/uninterested looking. I definitely can IMAGINE shaders being useful for realistic results but I've yet to be convinced. The most common situati...

Network render does not stop
I got network rendering working. But when I specify a haltspp the master stops but the slaves keep going. I also get the MySocketExcep errors when stopping/quitting. Lastly, the new tabs along the bottom of the indigo.exe UI are so large I can't see the real-time log info on some machines (none here...

region render is not faster?
I have rendered a 3200x2400 image but now want to go back and render a small section that didn't resolve as much. So, I've setup the render region, it's about 330x120 in demension.... it does not render any faster then the entire image did! I started the region render from scratch (instead of trying...

yeah good point, I was just thinking you could turn it into a service using "srvany". I've done this with some other apps I've made and it seems to work well.

oh by the way, you CAN use pstools to check and start/restart the slave processes! :) What I do is pslist all designated slave computers and serach for the word "indigo" and if it'snot found on a pc use psexec to start it. Of course, I had to mess with permisions to get it to work on all the comptue...

Youn: why don't u just save your scene file to a share, and let windows do the copying? I'm unclear by what you mean "let windows do the copying" I initially tried having all files on the network where all computers can get to them, but it seems only one instance of indigo can open them at a time. ...

OK, I got a pretty nice system worked out, seems to work, with just one exception: The bat file that starts the main file neds to have "-n wm" on it. Can this be done from within the exporter?

OK, I'm really interested in network rendering because I have 30-40 computer here at work and can play with them after everyone leaves (hehehe) so I'm started to get comfortable with the process. Here's what I do.... I'm using windows computers btw, but I'm sure something very similar can happen on ...
