Because your suggestions were not vista optimization tips.
In reality I care not, so
So don't complain if you don't care. :?

I would better to ask modos to delete the thread entirely... :(

If delle wants to work with spectrum, it would mean that he's hardcore enough to not be satisfied to work with his eyes only. I quite understand him about fluo tubes, and know that real reproducing tv is problematic. However I found this which contains a spectrum chart of phosphore light of an early...

For fluorescent lamps some spectrum charts are available on the net and manufacturer documentations, just gogole them.
For tv image, I don't know, spectrum values may depend on the displaying image.

I have found a quite modest tip to manage useless services, and it's very flexible, there's not need to use hardware profile assignation.
But I've not found yet an alternative for hardware profiles to manage devices.

Hi, Stainless steel is not available in any nk data provided, and I did not find any to replace it (they all are for electronic application only ). True stainless steel has a very light pink/orange tint and IOR properties varies depending on the metal alloy (some s.steel made objects can be ma...

Vista optimization tips for rendering

Hi all, Sorry for this suggestive topic title but it's more a request than tip list. But if you have some, feel free to post since there are not so many about computer optimization. Well for my case I have a simple question: How to make/emulate hardware profiles within Vista? With XP it was easy, bu...

How to disable display refreshing in Indigo console mode?

Hi all

I noticed while running a render in console mode that Indigo stills refresh the display (undisplayed) and lose precious seconds.
Is it possible to disable the display refresh process? it would save more than one hour during my long renders.
