Re: Simple Renderings Thread

I've been having a go at the compositing challange from the cgtalk forums. Gave me a chance to try out some of the new features in indigo. Thin coating material and the shadow catcher. Think it needs a bit of tweaking on materials, but looking ok so far. Pontiac model by Giorgio Luciano

Re: animation: blender crashing

oops.. Thanks Zom-B.. Was the exporter I was using, I hadn't seen the newer one for 2.63 come out, and it states that it fixes animation issues. And it does!

Feel a bit silly, I always check things before I post for help. Just missed that one

animation: blender crashing

I am trying to do a short animation, but have trouble with blender crashing before indigo starts. Also if doing stills, Blender crashes every second time I try to export to indigo.. I guesss its something in my setup. I am using indigo 3.4, blendigo 3.4.8.1 and blender 2.63a.. Any help or ideas woul...

Re: August 2012 competition - final renders

And heres my entry. Three different views
MLT/Bir with exit portals
Rendered to about 10 000spp, approx 8 - 10 hours

What you see here is the original resolution 1260x787, planned on rendering them larger, but time got away from me.

Re: Koi pond

Heres a bigger version with less compression.. Thanks for the crits guys, I am redoing the scene actually tacking your crits into account. I have finally got it to render in indigo 2, I found the mesh that was the bottleneck and I pushed up the mncr to 5000 and it seems to render ok now. Oh and have...

Re: Koi pond

Wow ZomB you must have a good eye to spot that about the ground under the water, it was something that I wasn't happy with. But I thought maybe I was being too fussy, that no one else would notice it..guess I was wrong.... And I had no idea about Koi fish, I seen a few pictures of them grouped like ...

Koi pond

I haven't posted a render on here for ages, so here is one I have been playing around with lately. Rendered in indigo 1.09 for about 20 hours on a p4...the new version of indigo chokes on the large scene and I had problems getting the shadows in the water to render properly in indigo 2, so I went ba...

Hi Benn....I only have one image in the gallery, but you have taken my ownership and attributed it to Radiance... I mean I like the compliment because he does awesome images.. But I would rather you attributed it to the right person..

something a bit different

I haven't posted a lot on here in recent times, so I thought I would show a recent render of mine...Although I love the great interiors and archi renders I see here, I also like to use indigo for character renders as well... And besides my archi type renders are always so boring compared to the ones...

Hey Neo, thats looking like a good start.. Got a couple of suggestions for you. 1 ) the shelf of the test tube holder, make a second shelf like that and place it below the first.. So you have two sets of holes for each test tube, it will stop the tubes from sliding out of the holder. 2) have the tub...

I'm guessing its the weird bumpy look that you are getting from the dispacement thats a concern to you...I have been finding that using a bit of blenders displacement and then also using indigo's displacement seems to work well, of course that means you have to subdivide the mesh a bit in blender fi...
