Re: December 2010 Competition - Steampunk (extended to 23rd
Hi! Been awhile since I've dropped in, but was surfing through and spotted this thread. And just so happens, I have something to offer that's kinda steampunk-ish. Wow, am I cutting it close or what?! Wish I had time to dress it up with an environment, but I'm in the middle of a fairly intense...

Re: Odonata Epiprocta
Yes, I think I may have made them a bit thick. I was trying to give the reflective surfaces some dimension, so they wouldn't look like simple Tiffany-style glass panes.
Possibly I should have used some other technique for skin thick semi-transparent reflective textures.

Hi everyone, I posted this also over in the Sketchucation forum, but since it's Indigo, I thought I'd throw it over here as well. * * * * * * * * Here's a few dragonfly constructions I've been working on. I have maybe ten cumulative hours on the modeling and another 2-4 on the lighting, staging and ...

Re: Virtual Optics
Thanks for the kind comments. Meelis - I looked at that complex assembly and thought I'd give it a shot. I've yet to consider a complex camera lens. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v606/Cyberdactyl/Optics/body1.jpg I lifted the lens shapes as best I can, and started to look at the different variab...

Wow, Whaat. . . yes, I'd love to read some insight on those topics.
But, really, all you need to do is go through the whole process and thoughts of your bedroom animation.

Hi everyone, I posted this at Sketchucation and thought it might be pertinent here. Also was wondering if anyone else has experimented with this ability of Indigo. . and I suppose, most any rendering engine. * * * * * * * * * After much experimentation with Indigo's material attributes, most especia...

Re: Basic Question on Night and Day
Once again, it was my mistake. I indeed wasn't choosing 'SketchUp Background Color'. I would have sworn I had chosen 'Sun and Sky' with black toggled in the past and had gotten a black scene. As to the different perspectives causing some RGB's to not work, I'm thinking I had the power turned too low...

Basic Question on Night and Day
I just can't figure it out. Sometimes when I want a night scene (no lighting except my own RGB or Blackbody) and I check "Black" under Render Settings and Environment, I get a lit sky and sometimes when I want a lit sky and uncheck Black I get a night scene. And much of the time I can't change it no...

Re: Indigo-Fatal Error - I need Your help
Thanks WHAAT! Here's another easy fix I'm sure. I borrowed some components from another SU drawing that seems to render with colors already set and renders great, but I get this path error; D:\shares\HOME\dcom\SmithM\Colour/Ti.nk D:\shares\HOME\dcom\SmithM\Colour/Au.nk It still pushes thru and rende...

Re: Indigo-Fatal Error - I need Your help
Hi everyone. I haven't posted in a long time. Glad to see Indigo is really taking off. I am having what appears to be a similar problem with 1.0.9. I got this similar message today: IndigiDriverExcep: ScenceLoaderExcep: MaterialExcep: ComplexIORExcep: ComplexIORDataSetExcep: Failed to open file 'C:\...
