Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.6 Beta
Is there currently a way to enable denoising automatically when I start a new render. If not will that ever be added as an option? Having to start a render, stop it, then enable denoising to restart the render again is tiresome.

Re: Network rendering resolution issue
This is a ram issue. I had the same problem. My main rig has 64gb. My nodes had 16 and 32. The one with 16 would always crash or otherwise stop. The one with 32 would work sometimes. This is with rendering at 4k. The fix was to increase to 48gb or more. What I think is happening is the nodes need mo...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.4.1 Beta / Technology Preview
I'm so excited this has finally been added. I tested it out and it works great. Before its truly usable though we need exporters that can turn denoising on and off from the start. Besides that GREAT WORK. I was checking out THEA considering a to switch for the denoising. I'm glad I won't have to bot...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate
Its been a while since we got an update. Anything in the pipeline to come soon. RTX support, denoising anything? Love indigo but both thea and vray made big updates that's very tempting to switch.

Re: theroanecollective.com Current Project
Not bad for beginning! Try to reduce DOF a lot, because it all feels like a puppet house. Be sure having correct scale on objects, like radiator, table (could be improved in modeling) and door handels. Try to look for far better 3d-models overall, this will increase credibility. Also you really sho...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate
in GPU mode : I had a problem trying to mix a fastSSS material with Diffuse or something else. It does not work properly (crash or stuck) here is a small .pigs for the test mix_Diff_and_FastSSS.pigs was very surprised this made my system crash instantly after starting the render. rendered fine on C...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate
I had to revert to version 66. The stable release. Indigo didn't have a crash log as it typically does. More like an error message, the same type you may get if an asset is missing. Restarting the same or another render doesn't bring up a log or a crash dump. On my host system, it just keeps trying ...

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate
New problem. I have a slave rig with 6 Vega cards. After the update, the system will no longer render with all cards. 4 cards is the max before getting a thread limit crash.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.23 Stable Release Candidate
Now I'm having an issue where the material editor is unusable. It just states "foo" under materials. Is there a fix for this. I looked over old posts about it but nothing fixed it.

Re: Built-in Denoiser
It works well sometimes. Other times there is a very fine line between clamping noise vs introducing bias. I try to keep my scenes as realistic as possible.

Re: Radeon Vega?
For max performance, I would suggest 1080ti or Vega. they both have similar speeds. Nvidia is faster in light/outdoor scenes. Vega is best with memory management and heavy scenes. I would look for a Vega FE. I own 6. They perform slightly slower than the 1080ti OC but even at low power will still ke...

Re: Loaner machine with a good GPU needed
Just a suggestion but if I were you I would first find a beefy PC to run it on no matter where it is located then remote to that computer from where you are. May solve your problem.

Built-in Denoiser
Any plans to add denoising to indigo. For most of my interior renderings, I can reach 500-1000 samples in 1-3 min. after 1k-2k samples adding more samples doesn't really help any. I'd say 2k samples is the point were anything past that would be negligible returns. After that, I use denoising to fini...
