Re: Resume render from IGI : invalid image_data_size
Mine was working fine with 2.2 but when I upgraded to 2.4.4, I get the following message: A problem occurred with the scene: Resuming buffer width does not match: 1028 vs 1284 Indigo version: Indigo Renderer v2.4.4, OS X 64-bit How I got there was: 1. Create a file and render 2. Stop the render 3. S...

Re: Creating Lights
Ok... even for a rookie like me, that was a pretty rookie mistake. I do always have a dilemma when I want things in me scene the same color, but different "materials" what to do? I thought creating a duplicate texture in SU would do the trick. That was what I thought I did in this case. I used white...

Re: Creating Lights
I am soooo sorry.... I absolutely feel like an idiot. I know what layers are supposed to do... I just don't know how they work. I looked at my SU model, and couldn't see where the bottom was on the same layer as my lights. Please, if someone can walk me step by step how to use layers, I would so app...

Re: Creating Lights
Not to get too off subject... but I don't totally understand how and when to use layers. I have looked in all the manuals and nothing is very clear.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Creating Lights
I feel like I keep missing something. I am trying to create a virtual studio. I design and make furniture and want to be able to put them in similar lighting schemes to show to clients. I created a cyclorama and a couple studio lights. When I render the scene it doesn't look right. The table in the ...

Re: Official: IES lighting effects with Indigo
I am not quite techie enough to know what I am looking for in the IES files. Has anyone had luck using these files with SketchUp? I tried IES files 1-6 from the files in this thread and all of them give me an error.

Creating Lights
I am trying to get a handle on creating lights. My dilemma is that it seems like none of the settings make a difference, except the temperature. Power at 100 looks the same as at 200 and Efficacy looks the same at 17 and 50. How do you create lights that mimic the real world? i.e. If I want a 150 wa...

Re: Official: IES lighting effects with Indigo
I am sorry, I don't totally understand. I only created 1 emitter, and pointed the IES file to one of those that I downloaded. I don't know why it is trying to use more than one luminary... Please explain.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: New materials
I sort of get the concept of creating solid materials, like wood or stone... what about something like a leaf? I have seen a few textures in the materials library, like the Leaf and Fern that have actual shape to to them, not just a solid texture. How are these created?

Re: New materials
Thanks... those materials look amazing. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to drop the kind of cash that those would require, so I need to hone my skills at creating my own.
I will definitely bookmark that site and when I have some extra cash, it looks like a good investment.

Re: Many new light materials
It seems like certain materials don't work well with SketchUp. I get the following error message on both candle flame and butane flame. "Unsupported attribute regular_tabulated found. Material cannot be loaded. To use this material, create a Linked IGM material that is linked to this IGM file." I ha...

Re: New materials
StompinTom - Thanks for the advice, and I don't mean to be thick... but can you expand a bit? Say I download a photo texture, do I have to create a bump map in Photoshop? if so, do I simply convert the photo to greyscale? Then in the indigo editor, do I apply settings for sheen etc., point the bump ...

New materials
I am hoping someone has some tips for me. I want to create some custom materials that I use frequently. What is the best way to create realistic materials. For instance I use a lot of wood and metal. I see all the materials on the Indigo site, but how are they created? Do they start with a photo? An...

Re: Official: IES lighting effects with Indigo
Hello. I downloaded the files but I keep getting the following error. I am using Sketchup.
"SceneLoaderExcep: IESDataExcep: IESDatumExcep: Error parsing num_lamps"
I have no idea what this means... any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
