Re: Blendigo not functional for Blender 2.93LTS and 3.0

I was thinking about swithing into Lux but situation there is similar: it is developed very slowly. But most important thing is Lux is slow, very slow, about 2-3 times slower then Indigo. Blendigo Dev said that there will be blender 3.0 version, but I don't know when. There are many small glitches l...

@StompinTom, is your code available? I'd like to help testing your plugin.

Eneen's archviz corner

Hi! Here I'd like to show my archviz work. I work exclusively in blender (including post) and blendigo.

I will start with one of the older projects. I made only two shots. Design: exterio.pl

Re: Blendigo error

Hi and welcome,

Blendigo above 4.0.13 is WIP and I think it doesn't work or has many issues. Try 4.0.13, maybe it will work for you on 2.79.6

Re: Creating a visible Spotlight

You can also simplify light if this is not closeup render to flat plane (circle)+ies. Indigo is really great in that regard, you just assign material and get IES profile regardless of emitter shape, so you can create led stips and other non-omnidirectional lights.

Lux, Cycles and Appleseed are about 6-10 times slower then Indigo.

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

Depth channel is reversed (great and same as default vray https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3MAX/Z-Depth+%7C+VRayZDepth) but has black background, maybe having white is better to indicate infinity for things like compositing fog on sky or fake volumetrics including sky. There's foreground chan...

This is great!!

For exporting EXRs, could the option of embedding all passes into one multi-layered EXR be added? Really handy for compositing workflows.
Yup this should be doable.
Maybe with option to disable for stupid photoshop exr filter compatibility (no multilayer exr support)

Re: Indigo Renderer 4.2.18 Beta Release

Wow! So great!
Is it possible to render AOV without beauty pass? AOVs slow main render a bit (something like 2-3% on material preview, not sure how on more complicated scenes)? Or maybe set some kind of multiplier for AOV sampling, so when doing 24h rendering they just slowly refresh?

Re: Help creating displacement map

I suppose you need 2-4mm space between and 1-2mm chamfer. If tile is 5-7cm you can calculate yourself how dense subdivide should be to create required result... Subdivide doesn't guess where tile is flat and doesn't optimize mesh. It just subdivides :)

Re: Help creating displacement map

I think it's not efficient to use displacement for tiles, better is to model them. It will take lot less ram and rendering will be faster.

Eevee and Blendigo

Eevee is coming, so I hope we will be ready to use it with Indigo for viewport. There will be no blender internal/game anymore.
Holding thumbs for nodes, shadows, textures and hdri display!
