Re: Rotating IES files?
Hi, thanks for the answer. I tried rotating the object by 90 degrees, but i got some unexpected results. To be more precise, I made a cube, floating in front of a wall; and emitting on the 4 sides that do not face directly towards (or away from) the wall. All sides have the same material, and obviou...

Rotating IES files?
After several years, I'm returning to Indigo Renderer, and I'm happy to see lots of improvements since my last use (~2015!). but I'm running into an issue. For a new project, I have to use non-rotationally symmetrical IES files. That proves to be a problem. I have no problem (well, a small one - see...

Re: IndigoMax 0.4.0
Maybe I'm overlooking something... But is there some kind of materials library available, within 3DsMax? Or in other words, if I start a new, empty scene, how do I start adding "existing materials"? For instance, Maxigo had a few buttons to browse "online", and select from dozens (hundreds?) of mate...

Re: Maxigo 3.0.7
Yep, it's broken and unusable for Max versions > 2011. Autodesk changed smth in maxscript implementation and Maxigo code doesn't run as it used to run in older versions. When installing Maxigo 3.0.7, it asks me which 3DS version I have. 2012, 64 bit *IS* an option. So.... broken, or not? I know it ...

Re: Public alpha release of IndigoMax
Hi, i''m currently giving IndigoMax a try, since Maxigo crashes too often.... However, i do have a problem. My scenes stay black,no matter what I try. I have a scene (a simple room without windows, so no environmental light comes in), and a simple sphere with material 'indigo emitter'. Using maxigo,...

Guaranteed crash on exporting animations
I'm experiencing a guaranteed crash when exporting animations. 3DS simply quits with a non-descript error message "3ds Max has encountered an error and needs to close". The logfiles of 3DS do not show anything specific for this / with this timestamp. However, they do mention frequent errors with "un...
