random rotation texture tiles
Is there a function in skindigo to randomly rotate a texture at point of render? I'm working on a large tiled floor area. They use the same patterned tile throughout but they are laid with a random rotation. I can aproxuimate the effect by ganging up several tiles in a texture image but when I do a ...

Re: does Indigo work in windows 8 ?
I'm running windows X64. All works fine for me. Is your machine pretty new? I installed On a win7 machine recently and got a similar issue. I learnt that Indigo requires the 2008 C libraries. They can be downloaded from Microsoft website. You are looking for the redistributable Installer I'm not sur...

Re: Displacement Issues
Glad to help.
With regard to the new issue.. It's beyond my knowledge of skindigo at the moment. However. My tip is to only use displacement when you have to. It eats memory. Could you get away with bump for that wall?

Re: Displacement Issues
Hey there.
Are you using Sketchup ?
If so take a look at this vid. I think it's made by one of the developers. It helped me lots!

There is actually a bunch of tutorials.... All of them are valuable information.

Re: Change point of focus in an animation with low F-Stop
Hey Etienne, Thanks for the input. I think you are correct (if anyone would know, it's you!). I have an idea how to do it by hacking the IGS file. I'm thinking of creating 60 IGS files (1 for each frame) and then manually adjusting the focus point XYZ. It's a tad long winded but hopefully will work....

Change point of focus in an animation with low F-Stop
Hi all, I really fancy doing a little animation using depth of field. I'd like to use an F-stop of 1.4 /2.8 to get very shallow DoF. Focus on something in the foreground then shift focus to the background over say 60 frames. Is this possible with Skindigo? Here is a video which uses the effect.. (Th...

Re: Indigo Renderer 3.6.2 Beta Release
Evening all!
Was the render triangles as random colours been removed?
I'm Sketchup based, so displacement maps is always fun ;)
Render as random colours helps me lots to see what the displacement is actually doing.
Can we have it back please.
Or can someone show me where it has moved to please

Re: Panorama / Spherical renders
Just to check....
When setting pixel dimension for the image it need to be a ratio of 2:1
so...
1000px wide=360 degrees
500px tall=180 degrees
correct?

Re: Interior and light
Hiya I'm pretty new too. I'm impressed with your interior. Especially the curtain. I find curtains so tricky in SKP. I think the sun and sky render is going to produce the best image in the end. My Three tips. Sorry if I'm teaching my grandma to suck eggs: 1... If you can't see the windows, take the...

Re: png image render problem
Tar,
Ahh yeah that looks locigal...
I knew there would be better ways. This would save me from having two materials to maintain.
So how do you apply the green canopy material and the logo to the face?
I guess it would be a blend (advanced stuff not played with much yet)?
