Oscar J wrote:Hi! The best way is probably to create a phong material, and then find a dirt/concrete spec map and put it in the fresnel scale slot. Fresnel scale controls reflectivity. Hope that helps. :)

Many thanks Oscar :D

I think it would be nice to see a preview of Indigo 4 speed with a real exterior project and not only with a tea pot....

I am seeing lots of improvements with this 4 version ...So i got to ask!....Is this new indigo going to be SIGNIFICANTLY faster when rendering using the GPU too? With indigo 3 version I don't see much difference in rendering my times when the GPU is on than when is off  . I have just bought a ...

Re: Laptop specs and rendering times

The laptop is for my personal projects so i don't have too much problems with indigo rendering times ( as long as they don't take more than 5-6 hrs with a 1600 x 1200 resolution ..that is what i'm looking for ....if possible :) ) and i also want to implement indigo in the firm i work for, my boss is...

Re: Laptop specs and rendering times

Ok , thank you so much for your comments and sorry for the late reply  Well...the main "problem " here is the deadlines that the firm i'm working for gives me for rendering the projects , they are really short and the render times that unbiased rendering takes to get "clear" or finished are ve...

Re: Laptop specs and rendering times

I can wait to see what indigo specialist say about it .. i mean 3,300 bucks is a considerable amount of money to spend in a portable machine, so i'd really like to know if it's well worth for use it with indigo. I truly want to start using indigo with a right computer

Re: Laptop specs and rendering times

Well ..almost all renderings i make are not so big, most of them are big enought to fit in a letter paper size. So..knowing that do you think these laptop spects are enough to handle sigle house projects without any problem or without having excesive rendering times ?? (To me more than 5-7 hrs per r...
