Re: "Errors occurred while trying to unpack the PIGM file"
Yeah, it hasn't been working for awhile, but it isn't a feature I use very often so it rarely comes up as an issue.Whaat wrote:Mac version 3.2.8 only? I will check it out...

Re: "Tearing" of smooth mesh when using displacement maps in
instead of requiring occult operations from users, at the best. To be fair, rendering technology is a little like black magic. We spend hours sitting infront of glowing panels, waving our arms around and wiggling our fingers, until we suddenly stop and wait for a blurry image to materialize infront...

Re: "Tearing" of smooth mesh when using displacement maps in
The solution here, as you illustrated, is really the knife (line tool) to constrain triangulation. It may be counter-intuitive for a SU user but a clean mesh has often more edges than the volume requires. The Qix example is perfect. Dividing these planes into several rectangles creates much more pr...

"Tearing" of smooth mesh when using displacement maps in SKP
Hey Guys, We briefly touched this once in another thread, but I thought it might be worth getting into. While smoothing and "welding" corners on a mesh with a displacement map, sometimes SketchUp gets some funny ideas as to how it should be done. See this image: tear.jpg It seems to happen when the ...

ILS --> Winter Tutorial
Hey Guys, I'm getting ready to dive into Indigo Shader Language and I noticed you're working on a new version called Winter. Would it be wise to wait until you come out with Winter or should I just get started on ILS and it'll translate pretty easy into the new language? Also, I can't seem to find a...

Traditional Buildings
I was thinking today that since modern buildings get all the lovin' from the render community, it might be fun to post up the best renders we've seen of traditional buildings.
So, let's see what you guys have got!

Re: 10-30 minute crash
Hi Frutiger, are you on mac? If so, could you email us the crash log to support (at) indigorenderer (dot) com? Thanks! Yves Yes, I'm on mac. The crash log should be on its way. Thanks for the time and attention you're spending on this, fused! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Re: 10-30 minute crash
Hi Frutiger, if I recall correctly, we fixed one specific bug that would lead to a crash a good while into a rendering not too long ago. Could you try with one of the more recent versions of Indigo? Cheers! Alright, I gave it a try with 3.2.5 and it still goes down consistently. Sadface. why not pa...

10-30 minute crash
Hey Guys,
I've got a seriously unstable scene here. Crashes consistently within 20 minutes with Indigo 3.2.0
Here's your link
Any explanations for what causes this instability?

External references would be great. The current workflow involves steps that regular people could easily mistake for witchcraft.
