wow that elephant looks amazing. even more amazing is that kick ass texture you got on the floor there. i take it its bump mapped and not modelled? im actually starting to get depressed by the idea that i still dont knoow how to texture properly.

i think originally I was making it translucent to try to get some interesting caustics, but couldn't get any light through it, so than I just did this. kinda looks cool though.

a pick of the nicest looking tests form my render folder (going way back to when I first used indigo ~v0.5t7)

@ matsa -> actually the ground is a sort of home-made microdisplacement. I used blender's displace modifier on a simple plane, wich produces great results but an insane amount of vertices.

"Simple renders," eh? Here's one of mine.
(The scene isn't that great, colors make it pretty boring, but it was a caustics test )
