wow that elephant looks amazing. even more amazing is that kick ass texture you got on the floor there. i take it its bump mapped and not modelled? im actually starting to get depressed by the idea that i still dont knoow how to texture properly.

i think originally I was making it translucent to try to get some interesting caustics, but couldn't get any light through it, so than I just did this. kinda looks cool though.

@ matsa -> actually the ground is a sort of home-made microdisplacement. I used blender's displace modifier on a simple plane, wich produces great results but an insane amount of vertices.
