bug with mesh

Post by ZYX » Tue Dec 08, 2009 12:02 pm

Hello i am posting this because indigo crashes while exporting a scene and gives me this bug:
Error: SceneLoaderExcep: CSModelLoaderExcep: ModelLoadingStreamHandlerExcep for model 'C:\Archivos de programa\Indigo Renderer\Renders\19.igmesh': Invalid normal (In element 'mesh', around line 63, column 5)

I tried to render all meshes independently and i figured out i can't render one particular Mesh, but i have to render that mesh and i don't know what to do, please help me. I am posting the mesh

Very strange mesh indeed.
Did you made it? How did you manage to get the bounding box only cover the part of the mesh? Even ResetXForm doesn't seem to fix it.
My suggestion is, that try to export it to *.obj and then import it back in.

[edit]
I added the obj to attachment. Try to import it back to your scene.

Thanks suvakas, I discovered the problem already. When I apply the shell modifier to an open mesh in 3ds max indigo crashes exactly the same way.
But I need some way to give the petals volume.
